I know when a new song drops there's something people don't like or complain about, but imo this song is everything a remix needs to be, and definitely the cleanest addition to my USB in a while, as close to perfection as EDM gets.

Plus, I think it's the official remix we are getting since Due West if I'm not mistaken. All the other songs since 2019 have been originals.

I think with enough time, this song can grow on me like "torture me" or "real spring" did and turn into one of my favorite skrillex songs oat.

As a longtime fan of Sonny, living somewhere where the chances of ever getting to see him perform live are next to zero, it genuinely hurts to see the amount of hate he's received for his Headtrip set.

If the criticism were at least valid and made sense, I could understand it. But complaining about the lack of visuals? It just feels so ungrateful and privileged. Some people are lucky enough to experience something that others can only dream of, yet they choose to focus on what they didn't get instead of appreciating what they did.

Sorry for the rant but I had to get it off my system.

Obsessed with the Flava D ID. How is one man this creative?!

I am absolutely hooked on this track. We all know Sonny is a legend, but it's insane how he consistently drops such unique sounds.

Honestly, with his non stop touring schedule, I do worry about his well being. I really don't want to see him face severe burnout like Avicii did.

I hope he's taking enough time off to rest, travel, and just enjoy life with his people. He completely deserves it.

I'm dying to see him live, really hoping he comes back to India soon!

What do you guys think his secret to creativity is?

Also, serious question: how many hours of sleep do you think he gets every night?

Any guesses?

It’s just way too big for me!

thoughts?

When was the last time he did a big one off event in Los Angeles or New York ?
For New York I think was msg 2023 for La can’t even remember ,I believe next year 2027 a big one off solo show in Los Angeles with his own production would be sick!
What do you think?

As an unc who's been going to Skrillex shows for years, he's never been big on visuals. I've seen him more in clubs than festivals. Surprise appearance at GTA at the Palladium forever ago. Surprise set at the Do Lab at Coachella. Saw him with Jack Ü, which was a bit more visual heavy, but maybe that was the project with Diplo.

One thing I'll always remember: it's always been about the music. Sonny would literally light up a cigarette and drop bombs with no visuals, just pitch black. That's the Sonny I remember.

And that's the Sonny I got at Head Trip.

I know he tweeted an apology about the set. The sound issues weren't on him. That was the festival's end, and there was a delay before his set too, so it's not really all on him. But the comments I'm seeing about his song selection? That's a different conversation, and I think it's coming from a specific place: the casual fan, or the one stuck in the 2010s era, who was there for the big room sound of Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia.

From my perspective the selection was great. Visuals I didn't mind none, especially having seen him before. He's not visual reliant. I was just locked into his song selection and all the ID's we got, and I loved it.

It was for sure in my top two sets of the week. Obviously. I'm a big Skrillex fan and I'd been dying to see him, it had been almost a decade or more.

I honestly didn't expect a bunch of visuals with him. It would possibly take away from the music. Yes, it was a detour from everyone else on that lineup, but with Skrillex you're just gonna get all killer no filler. He used to tour with the Mothership and big production back in the early 2010s, but this past decade, as he's redefined himself, it's been less production heavy and more music heavy. And we know he's actually DJing and picking songs live, not playing predictable prerecorded sets. If any DJ is gonna play whatever they wanna play, it's him, and he definitely played to this crowd.

True Skrillex fans were happy. If you're a casual who expected it to just sound like what you think Skrillex is, you didn't get that. That's more of a you thing than a him thing.

I think he destroyed it. Visuals were fine. I will never complain about a chance to see the GOAT himself live.

Sounds super old but I’ve never heard it before.

So if the music was low for some of the set and say some of A/V stuff wasn't working why is skrillex having to apologize when it's not actually his fault is there other stuff that happened that I'm unaware of?

Does anyone have the photo of sonny shooting the stagehand the death glare at the beginning of his head trip set? Iconic

yoo😭🤯

skrillex we need a redemption show after headtrip here plsssss😭

so I am auditioning for a British TV show called “The Piano” where successful people who auditioned go to their local big train station and perform on the piano while being secretly judged by 2 musicians(celebrity musicians) and whoever impresses the most at their train station goes to a grand hall in England to perform infront of thousands.

I auditioned last year, but unfortunately did not get through, this year I am doing it early to try get a spot.

I was looking for a song to perform on the piano, and the ones I thought of were either too long or boring, and then I started playing the opening to Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites for fun, and my mum went and said “ YES! DO THAT “ and then I went on to play the full thing on the piano, and by taking out the heavy drop and the “ YES OH MY GOD” it sounds so majestic and beautiful.

baring in mind I am a teenager, do you guys think this is a great song to cover?

Some of you might remember the leaks from last spring—there was supposedly a leak involving a file or drive (I don't recall exactly) that contained "Malibu," a demo version of "Live Me Like This," "Rain ID," "Take It All," etc

A year later: what turned out to be real and what didn't? Does anyone still have access to that file or a link to the original post?

I may be on an island here…but after hearing “Diwali” twice in a live setting it has officially solidified its place in my all time fav Skrillex records list!!…. I especially enjoy (and yes I know there’s a joke in here somewhere) how when it’s played live im the only one ABSOLUTELY LOOSING MY MIND!!…

Does anyone know anything about this shirt? It’s an official recess piece right? 😭

I really need an answer if anyone knows thank you!!!!
