I fully understand the motion as I can snowboard very well, and I translate that to skating, but the board just grips super hard and I fly forward. I have to learn backwards so far and throw my weight into my legs just to get it to chirp once and throw me forward.

I also weigh around 200lbs, so that doesnt help my case lol. Any thoughts? I have a set of clouds that are 87a and they seriously feel as sticky as the formula 4s🤣

Im thinking the skateboard concrete may be to grippy?

I am now on my 3rd pair of bones hard-core bushings in 3 months on my tensor mag lights this 3rd pair is only a week old and im doing the right method of only tightening it till its flush then tightening after a couple of sessions. Im only 146 pounds as of right now all I do is flat ground 2 hours a day I guess im a stomper

I am skating a Real DBX now, it feels fucking great but don't love the shape. I want the Hockey Shape 1 but with some reinforcement.

I have no problem ollying over obstacles but when I try to kf I can never catch it. I can flick it good to my back foot but I can never land them. Any advice?

I have a skateboard tool and it wont fit on the trunk no matter how I put it. The loose trunk is causing the board to hit the wheels. The half sphere is making it hard to grip with most tools. Do I need a diff tool or to try and tighten it a different way.

EDIT: Boss had an allen key and i was able to tighten it, thank yall so much.

Hey yall I "learned" fakie big spin 2 days ago it's my first trick other than Ollie's or shuvs so my first decent trick however I am under rotating just a little and I'd like any tips to help get the board to do a full 360. To me it looks like I need to rotate my body more but I'll leave it to the pros

Yo! Going to be in Albany mid November for a work conference . Gonna be staying at a shitty hotel for 4 days straight getting my mind zapped by presentations from 9-5. Trying to avoid a relapse as much as possible haha so hoping to get out and de stress by skating after 5pm. Anyone know anywhere in Albany that has lights on at night? Was looking at blue banks on Google Maps and saw lights, but any word on if they’re any good during the winter?? Thanks a lot!

Hi all! 27M from England, tried a couple times to get into skateboarding but didn't keep it up. Recently bought a board off FB marketplace and trying to get the basics of movement nailed down, can any one recommend me resources to read/watch?

Why do my Ollie’s keep spinning frontside?

They are a bit cleaner while rolling then stationary so have that in mind.

I (26,F) want to build a board for my boyfriend (27,M) but I have no clue what kind of grip tape I should buy? It’s a surprise gift for him and I got all the parts except the tape. Originally I was going to pick a clear mob tape and stick a laminated playing card underneath. But I heard no one likes clear tape cause it doesn’t last long. I’d rather pick something functional and better for skating, as you can tell I don’t know much. Can I get some opinions?

I recently ordered a Triple8 Deep Cover helmet in size L/XL (head is 59cm) using their size guide but immediately out of the box (thinnest pads pre-installed) it felt way too tight on my forehead and back of my head, the sides are fine but front-to-back there's a lot of uncomfortable squeezing pressure. Frustrated because I was careful with measuring when ordering online but the fit still doesn't feel right. Has anyone here had a similar issue and found a helmet that fits them really well? Should I return the L/XL and try an XL/XXL? Look at S1 or Protec?

Any advice is appreciated. I just started skating but learning how to push around has been the most fun I've ever had with any kind of exercise, and I want to get back out there.
