I knew a guy who went there alone, met some people, got drugged, and barely escaped kidnapping or even worse.
Not saying the whole country is insane, but it seems easier to get in endangered situation.61

Been to Lahore solo (did know someone there though to go around with). It was pretty interesting having the car we were in searched for bombs when going to the mall. Also going to McDonalds at a service station and seeing a guy holding an AK in the drive thru is certainly something xD.
Other than that though, it was like any other trip I’ve been on

Edit: because of downvotes and comments decided to do my own research and it looks like it is relatively dangerous though similar to Mexico in that it really depends where specifically you are with fairly safe and very dangerous cities

There are very few places that are worse for traveling. Most of those are active war zones. There are war zones that are safer to travel to.

Not all developing countries are the same, for example even in the SouthAsia region I would say Maldives, Nepal (not counting the unfortunate floods), Bhutan are safer than their neighbors.

Reminds me of the Black American woman who got catfished by a young Pakistani man after he convinced her to come to Pakistan to get married. After it didn’t work out, she held a press conference in a town square where she demanded large amounts of money from the Pakistani government as compensation and claimed she was going to fix the local infrastructure which she found to be inadequate. It was hilarious because the local government officials and passersby were just… standing there silently and letting her make these demands. Perhaps in confusion or perhaps they wanted to hear her out. But she seemed to make it home okay. Likely because she was American and she had attracted international media attention.

I actually watched a shit ton of vlogs on traveling to Pakistan last night. Which is what makes this thread crazy but I literally could not find a bad video of people talking about traveling there. Everyone was being super nice to the tourist and multiple essentially had all of their shit paid for by the locals. It was really sweet actually.
But there were only a few women in all those videos. Most acted like everything was fine. I’d assume it’s just like any other place in the world. There’s good and there’s bad
