Union Time?

Hello! I’ve been working full time since April and feel this company is in dire need of a union. it sounds impossible but it can be done. we just need like minded folk. any worker who is sane would agree a union is the only solution. or quitting… anyway,

With the help of the UFCW, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. I believe we’d be able to get enough signatures on union authorization cards that we could have a solid case. They can be sent and signed online, it doesn’t automatically force you or even make you apart of anything yet. only adds you to the number of people backing this process, only after agreements are finalized would it ensure you be apart of the union. the pros far outweigh the cons, sheetz treats its workers as pawns not people. Store managers purposely have us understaffed so the can get a better bonus. We deserve decent working conditions. I’m posting this now to just get the conversation going again, I’m in the central Ohio area but I hope this can be a company wide thing. Feel free to share your thoughts in this thread!!!

Dipping Sauce is Now an Upsell

I ordered fryz today, and to my astonishment, every dipping sauce had a fee, EXCEPT ketchup!

Not for extra sauce, which I expect to pay for, but for the initial sauce!

Nacho cheese is also nowhere to be seen on the menu!

Travis Sheetz is nickel and diming customers, while taking customizable options away!

As a former employee and just about a former customer, he's running it into the fucking ground! Bob and Steve are probably rolling in their graves at how greedy they've become!

Customer Question Gas Discount with Gift Card purchase

so in the past, I could go in the app and it would show me in my offers which gift cards were eligible for the gas discount.

Well, about two months ago, those stopped showing up in my offers page. I just happen to be close to my local Sheetz today needing gas and an apple gift card so i went inside.

there’s a “banner” above the gift cards saying something along the lines of “$.20 gas discount with the purchase of SELECT (underlined) gift cards”. but the “select” cards were not mentioned anywhere. i asked the clerk if she knew and she said no.

i’ve tried looking online but i can’t seem to find it in the app
or online. Does anyone know if this info is listed anywhere?

Boil outs and hood cleaning

So I was reading on bob about hood cleanings and boil outs etc. Apparently we are supposed to shut down fryers/not use them during this time. My store has never shut down fryers. The only time they get the cover put on them is when our ceiling gets cleaned.

I'm curious does anyone else actually follow the policy? It seems outrageous to stop fried food during the time. I can understand why they would say it, but customer flow wise it's just not feasible.

Feedback ID’s

No valid ID? No alcohol. No tobacco. It’s that simple. We can and will scan your ID. Don’t come into a store expecting employees to break the rules because you failed to bring proper identification. The entitlement is ridiculous. Getting mad at someone for doing their job doesn’t change the law. If you have money to purchase your items, you should have enough sense to bring the ID required to buy them or buy yourself a damn ID. Yes, we can deny a sale if you refuse to show an ID and yes, if you get carded regardless of your age, you must show an ID. Start having your ID on you, no one feels sorry for you bc you don't have one and we’re not willing to take a possible charge. Thanks 👌

Featured Coffeez

I have yet to order the banana bread coffees, and I'm wondering if they already have sweetener in them. In the app there is no option to add a sweetener under either of the banana bread drinks, so will I take a sip and be disappointed or overwhelmed with sugar lol

Customer Question Have the pork stickerz been discontinued?

I’ve been noticing the last few days that the potstickers have been missing from the menu on my app, and going into the store tonight one of the employees at my location said they suddenly decided to discontinue them. Can anyone else corroborate? Are they still available at your location or are they gone across the board for good? They were by far my favorite menu item and I’m incredibly sad to see them go.

Portions went way down and price went up.

Burritos used to be BIG... salads used to be BIG... loaded Fries used to be BIG... now they cost more, and the portion is a joke. I used to buy their food regularly, but most of what I used to get isn't even worth it anymore. You can get way more food at Rutters for half the price. I shouldn't feel ripped off every time I get food.

Food & Drink Lack of cheese sauce

None of the sheetz around me seem to have it or very little all of sudden this week. Is this a company-wide issue or just bad ordering/ bad stocking at dispo center?

Scanning ID to purchase tobacco

A Sheetz near me has started scanning driver's licenses when you purchase tobacco or alcohol. This is actually illegal here in Virginia. The law in this state says that clerks are too visually confirm someone's date of birth on their identification and there is nothing that requires you to have your identification scanned into their computer system. This is because when they scan your identification they stores your name and address to be put on marketing lists. Those lists are sold to marketing agencies who use your name and address to attempt to find your phone number. Then they add your phone number to marketing lists that they sell to scam call centers in India, Nigeria, and all these other countries where there's things operate uninterrupted.

It's only happening at this one particular sheet and I mentioned that to the manager. What's crazy is that she said that she actually knows that it's illegal but the way the computer system is set up they don't have a choice. I really can't believe a company like Sheetz that's so well known would risk their reputation collecting this information and selling it off to companies like that.

I don't want to see that store shut down because it's actually really convenient for me to go there but if they try doing this again I'm going to report it to the State Corporation Commission.

Customer Question Anyone else missed the stuffed nachos?

Those stuffed nachos fucking slapped man.. I wish they still had them. Best thing at Sheetz by far. Any Sheetz employees remember what brand the old frozen fried tacos were? I used to work there but never bothered to check...

Pepperoni Bitez & New Holidaze Sub

The pepperoni bitez are breaded with a light seasoning and filled with small pieces of pepperoni and cheese. Not a lot of pepperoni, not very flavorful, and honestly pretty mid. They would probably be best with some flavor powder and/or a dip like ranch or marina.

The new Holidaze sub was really good. The new stuffing sub roll tastes very good and is a lot better than the croutons they used before. The crispy onions were great and I hope they are a permanent addition to the menu.
