Sequim Potatoes!!
LOL! It’s time to harvest real Sequim potatoes, not the incredible number of glacier deposited rocks one needs to remove from the soil before setting up gardening. My baskets are nearly empty, but they will soon be full! I especially love to grow the purple type of potato, except that I have to admit I actually have boiled a rock that looked just like a potato, and it even made it to the plate! (No one was harmed in the making of this dinner.) Tell me about your Sequim potatoes real or rocks.

Yummy looking potatoes and any cool rocks? My lot is an old pasture and there’s very little rock

So many many many, many many many many many many many many rocks. Since I like them, I’m going to say they’re all pretty cool. Did I mention there’s a lot of rocks on my property?

Ozette potatoes grew really well for me. They taste excellent and they are fun to cook with due to the shape.

I live on Morse Creek. Forget the Sequim potatoes. We have Olympic Watermelons here!

I used to wonder where all the huge landscaping rocks came from. Now I know that it’s from people doing any kind of project at all here. It is like a little bit of a game, though, you really don’t know what size potato you’re going to get when you start digging. It could be a pebble, could be a rock or, it could be an entire one ton boulder.

I still have a photo of the very first shrub, in a one gallon container, that I tried planting on my property. It's sitting side-by-side with the Sequim potato I had to dig up, and the rock is slightly larger than the pot.
