Hello!

I've been wanting to get into roleplay in SL for a little while now, but I genuinely have no idea where to start or how to find people who'd be willing to RP with a noob LOL

The only RP I've ever really done was with someone I used to talk to, and it was literally just very basic two word actions/reciprocation

I think part of what's holding me back is that I feel so awkward actually typing out emotes and dialogue? Not in a judgmental way towards RP at all, but more so because I'm inexperienced and get weirdly self aware seeing what I've typed out. I do want to try it though! I just don't really know how to get started or get past that initial awkwardness.

So I'm curious, how did you guys get into RP? Did you just jump right in or did you have someone introduce you to it? Are there any beginner friendly places or communities in SL where I could ease into it and meet people who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes?
