My Spanish teacher whose class I've been in since last year has often talked to us about topics that I think everyone would agree are quite innappropriate to talk about in class. This post might even get deleted for NSFW even though I'll try my best to keep it PG-13.
In the beginning of last year a classmate of ours told him about the Rice Purity Test and he proceeded to do it. On the school computer. While presenting on the whiteboard. And scored 28. He might have trolled us because he didn't mark any of a specific group of questions that were weird not to mark considering everything else but still.
He has also shared a lot of stories with his exes. He is currently with one of the other teachers in our school, she's the reason he's even here because he's from South America and we're in Europe. Anyways, one of those stories was about how he was seriously dating an 18-19-year-old when he was 26, another was how when he was 18 he got banned from his girlfriend's university because they got caught on camera doing crazy stuff there. One time he was randomly telling us about some fruits that worked as a particular type of stimulants. He also likes to refer to girls as chicks (and call his exes crazy when he finishes the story) which I guess makes sense since in Spanish girls is chicas, but it still irks me personally, as well as how he jokes with some of the boys in the class about AI girlfriends.
He also follows a good amount of students on Instagram which is not that bad by itself, but I think sending your 17-18-year-old student an AI picture of you as a doll and asking her to crochet it because she can crochet crosses a line. She said he also comments on her stories. I can't really recall someone saying he has been interacting with them outside of class, except maybe this week when he said he had to stay at school till late to be with the elementary schoolers, one of my classmates asked him if he taught them English (he teaches both languages) and he replied "I just hang out with them.". Like is he made to supervise them in the hallways in the afternoon or what (they have classes until 5 PM)?
Another out of pocket thing he has done is playing pop-folk music in class because he's a fan and was yapping about the meaning of a song. We're in Spanish class and this man is explaining in English what he enjoys about a song in our native language that is from a genre you're not really supposed to listen to in an institution.
Last but not least, I don't think I've ever seen a test I've taken after submitting it since I've been in his class. He just writes us the grades in the online grade book and that's all, there's no giving us our papers back to see our mistakes. I don't even care about the language (neither does the majority of the class actually) because I was forced to take this class since there weren't enough people to form a group for German but come on.
I mentioned some of this to my ex History teacher the other day (we happened to walk to the bus stop at the same time; I no longer have History as a subject but she still teaches here) and she said that she hears from here and there what stuff he's doing/talking about in his classes. So I guess no one from the school staff will bother to attempt to talk to him and make him cut it out. I was thinking of just straight-up telling him to stop one day when he starts going too far, but I don't think it will be even worth it.
