But lately I have seen this rule taken to the extreme.

A week ago a thread was posted about the San Antonians for Rail Transit organization meeting, which I did not know about. A member of the group itself posted about it which makes sense since they would be the ones to try and drum up interest. I commented that I was interested to learn more about an unveiling they were going to do but the thread got closed before discussion could proceed.

Today there was a thread about a Vegan Food Festival or something? I was interested to learn more but the thread was closed before I could hear more about it from the OP.

I want to know about events and happenings in this city and sometimes that can only come from people who are members of organizations self promoting.

Maybe we can have a self promotions Friday or a sticky thread? I also don’t believe people should be banned for trying to self promote, unless it’s pretty clear they are a bot or something. Some people just have niche interests and are not big commenters.

Can we have a civil discussion about this?

So I've been sick since literally the 1st of the month. I know it's the fall and with allergies it's not unusual to have a sore throat or feel tired this time of year. And normally I would ignore it, take DayQuil and try to get extra sleep at night to get better. But my lymph nodes have been swollen for two weeks, my throat has been sore for two weeks. And I feel an extreme fatigue that I can't even begin to describe right. Just a feeling like I could sleep for 4 days straight but I'm out of sick time sadly.

Does anyone know if there's something going around? I don't think it's COVID because I can still smell but idk

One of them has been here for a few days, and I finally decided to ID the little guy. After realizing what he was I uh... Well I don't want to experience intense pain today, so I had to "evict" him. But I noticed another one a few seconds later (and also some sort of fuzzy but hard cocoon nearby).

So will I have to worry about more trespassors? Will there be more nearby?

I was on a flight to San Antonio from San Francisco and my dad found an iPad mini, he doesn't trust flight attendants to do it so he took it with him and he didn't tell anyone.

I'm not sure how to get it to the right owner.

I wanted to post about it just in case it's important to whoever owns it.

Edit: for context my dad took it because my mom lost her phone once and when she checked it's location she found out an employee took it so now my dad doesn't trust employees to deal with lost and founds.

He was hoping someone would use the find my iPad feature and we could get it to them.

I posted this in case someone was looking for it. None of my family uses apple products so I don't know if there's a way to find the owner somehow through it.

Also now that the iPad is open the lock screen changed to a photo of two dogs, i don't know if that's important for identification

Hey all - I'm seeing a show at the Aztec Theater, all the GA floor tickets sold out but there's still seats in the Balcony area. Does Aztec let you enter the GA floor section if you have Balcony seats?

I know it's a bit of a long shot, but I was part of the opening crew when New York Pizza Works opened at 5811 Univeristy Heights Boulevard a good number of years back before it was replaced later by the Picnikins Cafe. During the training, we all were taught the recipes and encouraged to write them down, but after moving a few years ago into my new home I havent been able to track down that old notebook anywhere.

It was the best pizza ive ever made and tasted, hands down, and figured maybe, just maybe, someone else still had their notebook.

I grew up on the southside, but not in this general area I currently live around city base. My lease is about to be up and I found these new apartments. They’re super cute brand new and honestly a great price. However, affordable, I know can come with a downside. There’s a sketchy property across the street that concerns me a little bit and a ditch on the other side. I’ve driven the area in the day and later at night and nothing seems too crazy. Just trying to figure out if it would be worth the price.

This is my first time ever posting here—
A little backstory: partner and I moved from the East Coast to San Antonio roughly around 2 years ago. We then started our own small craft business doing markets and popups while also working part-time at a restaurant.

Through our business we’re able to move out from living in a garage, afford our very first car and a roof above our heads.

We’re just very grateful to get to where we are now and we’ve always wanted to give back to the community. We’re currently at a place where we can do so. It’s not a lot. But. We really just want to feed the homeless with some freshly-cooked, hot meals.
My question is more uhhhh, idk how to say this but where can we find them in groups? We want to be able to give as much as possible in one area so we don’t have to drive around too much looking and risking the food getting cold.

If you know any specific areas or neighborhoods please let me know🥹 this is going to be our first time doing it here in San Antonio, definitely not the last.
