Allegedly, Samsung's gonna bring that design on One UI 10 and rename it to Galaxy OS next year.

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Please help! Phone app not working!

• Upvotes

I posted this to r/Androidhelp as well, but I'm not surw which subreddit can actually help me and I'm very frightened by this.

I hope you can all help me and this is the right subreddit for my question. I went to pay my phone bill last week, so I clicked on my phone app, and then I receive this full screen page asking me to "Set phone to default app" and won't let me make any phone calls until I press accept. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and I've had it for 3 or 4 years. Is this a virus or something? What do I do? I've never seen anything like this, and my mother who has the Samsung Galaxy S25 and she's never seen anything like it either.

I'm very sick and recently got out of a coma and technology was never my strong suit before, but now it's so much worse, especially because I'm still experiencing deficits. I'm scared I did something to my phone and now this is some sort of virus or something. Please help, I can't make or receive calls or even check my voicemail. I'd really, really appreciate any help!

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Sold my iPhone 18 Pro Max and switched to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Back to Android!

So I finally decided to sell my iPhone 18 Pro Max and switch to the Galaxy S26 Ultra!
For some context, I was previously using the S24 Ultra before switching to the iPhone 18 Pro Max. I’ve actually used iOS in the past, so I’m no stranger to Apple’s ecosystem.
Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is a fantastic phone. The performance, build quality and overall experience were great. However, after using it for a while, I realized that I wasn’t really taking advantage of what I paid for.
I barely take photos or videos, and I wasn’t making full use of my Apple Watch Ultra 4 either. As much as I tried to enjoy iOS, I kept missing Android’s flexibility, customization and overall user experience.
Eventually, I decided there wasn’t much point in keeping such an expensive phone when I wasn’t fully enjoying it.
So here I am, back on Android with the S26 Ultra! It honestly feels good to be back on something familiar.
For those who switched from an iPhone to the S26 Ultra, how has your experience been so far? Anything you particularly love or miss about iOS?

Has this happened to anyone else? This just recently started from what I know. It's not a huge issue but it really annoys me. Im assuming it's a dead pixel o algo. It only happens when I turn on the screen while charging

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Why is Now Brief/Bar lockscreen bug still present?

• Upvotes

I thought it was just me, but are other people having this problem too? (I'm not sure if it's a user or system issue).

What's the bug?

"Now Brief" doesn't show up on the lock screen after I enabled the "expand on lockscreen" setting.

Before the bug - "Now Brief" showed up on the lock screen all the time.

Steps to reproduce - Settings > Now Brief > Expand now brief without unlocking > enable.

Bug - "Now Brief" isn't appearing on the lock screen.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Galaxy s20 FE randomly restarting

• Upvotes

I had a problem with it where the screen wasn’t responding and it wouldn’t turn on, forced a restart and it did a ONE UI update before finally turning on, but then sometimes the screen doesn’t answer and the phone just restart doing the same ONE UI update (it says that it is optimizing apps) and then the same things happen again, is it a virus or a hardware fail ?

📖Discussion📕🖊️ No horizontal lock or log video support for FE models

I think if samsung is putting S in the name of the models then they should treat it equally at least in terms of software and provide these features specially when the hardware is nothing but capable for those features, like come on we are not asking them to give privacy display which is technically impossible but they should give Log video at least now it was introduced 2 years back with one UI 7

Recommendation Request🙏 Samsung S23 or A56?

I’m confused between the Samsung Galaxy S23 and A56 and would appreciate advice from people who have used either phone.
I don’t want a phone that becomes slow or laggy with everyday use. Camera quality is my biggest priority, especially for normal photos, not professional content creation. I currently use an iPhone 15 Plus, so I’m looking for a Samsung phone with camera quality that’s reasonably close to what I’m used to.
I’m planning to use the phone for around 3–4 years. I can get the S23 or A56, but I’m unsure which would be the better long-term choice.
I’d especially appreciate feedback on performance, camera quality, battery life

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Does anyone know how to get the keyboard to stop auto closing when I tap on an underlined word flagged as a typo?

I'm using the default Samsung keyboard and it recently started to autoclose the keyboard whenever I tap on a word that is underlined as a typo or that was autocorrected. The prompt to select an autocorrect spelling pops up under it but a lot of time it's not even close to what I was trying to type and I have to delete the entire word to fix a single wrong letter because I can't move the cursor onto it without losing my keyboard.

I can also get myself stuck if the last word I typed gets flagged and I moved the cursor because in order to delete it I need to move the cursor in front of it which proceeds to close the keyboard until I move the cursor back onto a different word.

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Edge lighting always same color despite being set to "auto"

Hello, so every time I get my notifications my edge lighting is always white. When I first got my phone it worked as intended (whatsapp green, snapchat yellow, etc...) But then I played around with the settings to see what was offered and then since then even after trying to set back to default it still only gives a white light for everything. Anybody faced the same issue or could help?

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Do the samsungs that support Wifi 7 transmit wifi 7 hotspot?

I have an A16 5g that transmits wifi 5 to my galaxy tab 10+.

If i upgrade to the newer phones, which ones actually transmit wifi 7 through hotspot as opposed to only RECEIVING wifi 7 from towers.

I want to make my tablet faster but it runs off of my phone.

I can only find confirmation the s24 and up RECEIVE wifi 7, but do they SEND wifi 7 over hotspot?
