Finally driving again

Post image

I am very pleased to say the worst engine swap done in saab history is finally done. Now to fix the rest of it again. Motor makes a bit of a tick but no worse than the original engine, suspension is effed, there's a boost leak somewhere cause it only makes 6 psi, and the interior is still disassembled after I fixed the throttle cable. BUT SHE FUCKIN DRIVES!!!!!!!

glad I could inspire you, what's wrong with it?

Right now the driver side axel seal. But I wanted to do the pump and chain in one shot. Never done an engine pull, but with all work I’ve done so far pulling the engine would have been easier.

Did you pull the engine from above or below?

i disconnected the trans and engine after dropping the sub frame and keeping it up with a hoist, let the trans fall down and lifted the engine out from the top.

Whoa. No wonder it was difficult! That sounds like no fun. Engine goes out the bottom in just a few hours.
