Rumble Roses XX Recomp – 4K Support, DLC Support, Graphics Options & More

I’ve been working on a recompilation project for Rumble Roses XX, and I’m finally releasing it!

The project is based on the existing Rexglue repository, with a number of additional features and improvements I’ve been working on.

Features include:

• 4K support and additional resolutions (have beefy hardware for 4K, I had no issue on my 4090 while testers had issues on 3060 and 4060 at 4K)
• Toggle blur and bloom effects
• Can apply your DLC files
• All alter egos unlocked, with a toggle
• Infinite money toggle
• Additional improvements and options
• F4 to bring up the options menu or START + SELECT on controller

Release:

The repository includes the executable and instructions for getting started. Bring your own ISO and DLC.

I’m also working on a separate mod pack that adds 30 WWE Divas from the Smackdown series with move-sets, entrances, themes, titantrons and 65 WWE arenas! The alpha version of that will be available tomorrow on my Patreon for FREE. Along with future updates which will all be FREE.

Besides bug fixes I think I’m done for now. Here’s everything I did with the Rumble Roses XX recomp:

Divas: Repurposed all 30 edit slots with divas from SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth through SvR 2011, each with her imported moveset, including a Killer and a Lethal from her real finishers where she has one. Counters, corner, ground, tree-of-woe, rope and springboard moves are converted from the SvR games too. 27 have their own imported entrance, and 28 have their own titantron video and theme, with song titles on screen (there's 2 npcs Lillian Garcia and Tiffany who didnt originally have moves or entrance motions). Divas from older games are upscaled to fit in with the other models. My first imports were a little too big so I fixed that as well so now everyone is normal sized.

Arenas: Unlocked Island Resort and Street in exhibition (normally not selectable), plus 65 new arena slots from SvR 2007–2009 with working trons, SvR rings and preview cards. The 2010/2011 arenas can come later.

QOL: New attires don’t need to overwrite DLC attires. Entrances, moves, songs, trons etc. are all added as new slots, not replacements. Expanded the game’s move memory so all of it fits.

Graphics: up to 4k, toggles for bloom and blur

This was done in about a weekend, yes I used Claude opus for analysis and implementation. I’ll figure out a good way to release this with separate optional mod packs. No paywall obviously it will be completely free.

I‘ll gladly take donations towards my Claude plan if anyone wants more games done like this or additions to this one. I’m interested in seeing what can be done with SVR 2011 and Wrestle Kingdom.

Potential future additions: letting any imported diva use any outfit, this is a WIP but not sure if I’ll get back to it. I’m pretty sure I can make all diva attires available to all the Roses though.

There's a guy name Acorn who mostly do the modding stuff with adding new cool features and costume. He also accept commission for costume modding as well. This is the costume I request for commission

Does anyone still play this game? I saw someone started a recomp on GitHub so I finished it over the weekend, runs fine at 4k. I also have toggles to remove bloom and blur.

More importantly I figure out how to import SVR 07 wrestlers like Lita.

For custom attire mods the old ones would overwrite DLC slots, now they use new slots.

Im also importing moves and taunts from SVR 07.

Just wanted to see if there’s any interest for a release.

I'm getting back into this game; my FAVORITE way to play is online vs. matches.

Some of the Weirder ones like SS Dr Anestesia or SS Evil Rose I could understand, but SS Candy is just normal clothes. Candy's regular outfit is available for DLC, why not her SS one?

I dusted this game off recently and bought it digitally. I have my original disc around somewhere but i havent seen it in years. I love dressing up the characters in the DLC costumes but when I do the game takes over a minute to load each screen. This playing purely digital only. Is there any way to speed up the game? Would playing from disc help?

Would like to know if anyone's interested in doing one!
