DYOR i am just a consumer so im not responsible for a virus.

mac = oceanofdmg
windows = getintopc
(search the web on google)

download after effects, media encoder, and photoshop.

from the same website, download effects such as boris fx for after effects that allows you to access sapphire effects.

now a lot of people sell courses to teach you this stuff on the effects and how to use them etc, but you can find some olderish videos on youtube that still work; a lot of it is just experimentation in finding the right effect to simulate the right visual experience.

a lot of the replications can be achieved without external 3rd party fx packs, but since you seem newish, i would recommend you use something like claude or gpt to research effects based off psychonautwiki, with that use it to correlate the effect you would put into your video so its as similarly to 1:1 as it can get.

patterns are most easily created in after effects from my personal experience, watch something like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwbJPbk8rYs&t=84s

you need to understand how after effects works though so you can understand how to layer the effects properly so it doesnt look whack. in these paid courses i know they teach you how to 3d track your patterns onto surfaces, but you can usually find tutorials on 3d tracking for free on youtube to guide you.

i make all my replications on my laptop, and i dont have a really good gpu on my pc for rendering, so i prefer to just layer patterns over my existing layers instead of 3d tracking, and i mess with the opacity / transparency and then add a sapphire flicker to it, idk its like a whole lot lol

if you go to my 2nd most recent post on my account on the r/replications from 4 months ago, i did a replication of some shitty combo i took during the summer and you can kinda see how i layered my patterns.

i know what youre trying to aim for though is a more realistic, psychedelic, approach, that requires 3d tracking most likely and a lot of hours.

Any image editing software that allows you to create layers, then its up to your imagination

what do you search to find patterns and stuff or to make them?

I make them myself by using shapes i kinda see, mirroring, bending, coloring. Everything ive made comes out of my own mind besides maybe first 3 replications Ive ever made
