I miss Don and Jerry so much.

They were so great together. And when Eck joined them it worked on a different level, too. Perhaps the only 3 man booth I’ve ever enjoyed.

We all do, my friend. We all do. I switch over to Padres games after the Sox just to listen to Don. The padres won two games last week in their last at bat, and let me tell you, he hasn’t lost his touch. Two awesome calls. It hurts most when they’re playing the dodgers, and it’s Don calling Mookie’s name.

This is the clip I will watch as the world ends. Just the greatest. Never gets old.

this and "Whoops." are my personal favorites.

This incident is why I have a small collection of Nick Markakis baseball cards, and they’re stored with the couple Remy cards that I have. Whenever I look through my collection for something, I’ll come across them and laugh again.

NESN Red Sox games are not and never will be the same. The Orsillo/Remy partnership was the gold standard. I don’t see a broadcast chemistry in our lifetime at least with the Sox that will ever come as remote close as that duo.

ESPN did this longform piece on this a few years back.

This and the longform on Doug Mirabelli getting a police escort to Fenway after we emergency-traded for his return are some of the most enjoyable written pieces in baseball.

We’ll never get this moment because nobody throwing pizza from a stadium in this economy

I hope the park is planning something big to commemorate the 20th anniversary of this critical turning point in Red Sox history next year.

lol, I just got an Outlook reminder from my US holidays calendar that it was “Here comes the pizza!” day and came here to make sure there was a post.
We’ve got a catered lunch today but that’s going in the fridge for tomorrow because here comes the pizza 🍕

Middlebrooks during yesterdays game said something to the effect of, "Anytime someone says Kiner-Falefa, I hear Jerry saying it. I wish he was still here to announce Kina-Falefer"

That Angels outfielder, Garrett Anderson, was just now announced deceased 😦 sad and strange

I wonder what those guys are up to now
I also hope the family show couple is still together

This is tops but at some point they had Lenny Clark and Denis Leary in the booth and I legit thought Don was going to die from laughter-induced asphyxiation. I’ve never found the clip online.

Somebody just posted it here recently. Look for a post choosing the funniest Red Sox moment, probably from sometime last week.

As important in red sox lore as Fisk’s home run, Roberts stealing second, Papi’s granny over Tori Hunter’s glove and Benintendi’s catch. Miss ya Remdawg

I remember watching this live. I miss this era of Red Sox and I miss Jerry and Don

I remember this live. One of TJ the best games I ever watched. They couldn't keep it together for the rest of the game lol

Why hasn't NESN uploaded a high quality version of this full video yet? The incident is old enough to vote and we still don't have a good quality video of the full thing.

My daughter is 4 and she loves to yell “here comes the pizzer!” When the Sox are on.

My favorite part of this is when they make him the fan of the game. "Well, he's the Pepsi fan of the game until he gets thrown out." Sends me every time.
