Why I’m requesting r/textfriends and how I’ll run it:
Textfriends was always a great way to meet people and find a community beyond yourself. I was so shocked when I saw that text friends had been banned for effectively being unmoderated. The kinds of posts that were being posted were very not safe for work, and it made sense because the mods that were in place on this subreddit had effectively disappeared. I know that this subreddit had amassed a whole bunch of people, and I want to return it to a place that is moderated and a hub for other people to make friends and build relationships.
I'll make sure that there are clear guidelines in place as to what can and can't be posted, and make sure that anything that is posted remains within the guidelines that are set.
