Discussion Help me see reasons to be optimistic.

• Upvotes

Hello,

First of all, I want to say that I've been a madridista since 1998, I was there before the first Galácticos, I was there when we couldn't get past the round of 16 of the CL, I was there for La Décima, I've been to the Bernabéu. I'm saying this before anyone tells me I'm "not a real fan" because I don't support the team.

So, like I said, I've been here a long time, and I've lived through tough times with the club, yet I've never felt what I've been feeling for two seasons and a bit now.

I've never felt such shame watching my team and, worse than that, such despair that the situation will get better.

I don't see what could change unless there's a huge clear-out of the squad. A lot of players have to leave, either because they don't have the level (anymore), or because their attitude is poisoning the group.

Nobody will be able to get anything out of this squad, rotten by status and hierarchy. You could bring in Guardiola and it wouldn't change a thing.

I love my club. I will always love my club. But I deeply dislike this team.

🎙️ Press Conference Mourinho: "Roma were unstoppable for 20 minutes. Soulé on the wing really surprised us.. Perhaps everyone thought it was over at 3-1, but it was them who were finished. It's very difficult to play with that intensity for 90 minutes."

Discussion What’s the deal with Trent?

I’ll start this off by saying I’m a Liverpool fan, but I’m not here to start some shit, just genuinely curious: what’s going on with Trent? I hate that he left us and the way that he left, but I just can’t seem to understand why. He would have had statues built in Liverpool and in Madrid he seems to be someone who mainly comes off the bench? A rotated squad player at best? Is this just due to manager changes? Is it the system? He couldn’t have planned for Mourinho, but surely he would have known if he’d fit into the team. What am I missing?

After game interview with Vini, Endrick, Espi, and Fede.

This is probably the most interesting part:

Fede being interviewed:

Reporter:

“I had a thousand more questions, but I don’t have much time. There is one very specific thing I want to ask you.

The other day, or yesterday, Mourinho said that when he moved Valverde to the right against Villarreal, he got it right, but that it was something situational because he has good fullbacks.

Today, that change happened again, with adjustments in midfield and you returning to the right side.

Do you think this could be a turning point?”

Fede:

“The important thing is winning.

As the manager said, if things work well, you have to keep moving forward.

I’m happy to continue getting plenty of minutes, wherever that may be.

I enjoy playing for this badge. I enjoy playing.

Today I enjoyed it a lot. I think we had plenty of space to run into, especially out wide, so I really enjoyed that.

And I’m grateful that the manager continues to trust me.

Wherever I play, I’m going to try to fulfill my responsibilities and give my maximum for the team and for him.”

I've been saying it since like November last year, but anyone that thinks Endrick can't be our starter on the RW has never actually watched him play. First of all, he has better playmaking than everyone on this team except Arda and Trent, on top of that his dribbling is great and we all know his shooting is insane. There's 0 justification for him being on the bench

Melchor Ruiz Endrick: "I love Real Madrid, I love being on the pitch, where I belong, where I feel happy, and I love to help the team. I was sitting on the bench taking to God. Suddenly, they told me I was coming on. I had no idea I’d come on that early. I am so, so happy.”

Melchor Ruiz Vini: “I am angry at myself, because I am not playing my best football, I know it. People booing me doesn’t help. I’d rather they supported me. But then again, I’d rather they boo me than boo the youngsters. I’ll be back. I’m certain of it.”

Melchor Ruiz Mourinho: “Vini was upset at being subbed out? That’s normal. It’s normal that he was upset. He didn’t do anything bad, like throwing bottles on the bench, and things like that. After the game, he was very happy that his team won, and that’s what’s most important.”
