Parking

I'll be going to the game on Saturday with some friends and was wondering where the best place to park is? Should I park at the stadium or park in a parking garage? We're coming from upstate so we've never been to Red Bull game, let alone an MLS game

So the parking lot is def an option, but just know that getting out can be crazy traffic. A lot of fans, park in either ironbound, Newark, eat/drink at some restaurants there, and walk to the stadium. Other fans, do the same on the Harrison side. The thing about the Harrison side is that you can only park on certain streets.

I've been to multiple NFL and MLB games and I know getting out of the parking lot at the stadium there can be a major pain. I've been looking at the "LAZ Parking - Harrison Parking Center". It seems like it's in relatively decent walking distance. Is that a decent spot?

Yes that is good
Park head out for easier egress
Also parking lots near Newark Penn Station

If you coming from far leave time to eat in Ironbound many great Portuguese restaurants and Tops Diner
Ice cream at Nastos

Heller Lot B LAZ parking, by the train tracks. Just a short walk to the stadium and infinitely easier exiting. You can be in your car 15 minutes after the whistle and back on 280 in under 10 minutes after that. Parking in a stadium lot or the parking garage would be far worse.

Heller Lot B LAZ parking, by the train tracks. Just a short walk to the stadium and infinitely easier exiting. You can be in your car 15 minutes after the whistle and back on 280 in under 10 minutes after that. Parking in a stadium lot or the parking garage would be far worse.

In short Park and walk near Newark Penn Station 15-20 min walk

Also if coming from upstate leave time to grab food - Tops Diner but it is super busy and expect to wait 1 hour on a Saturday but they take reservations
