No Proof "I could quite easily find 10 strong examples"

I'm actually impressed they came back and admitted they couldn't find any, in virtually every argument like this I've been in the other person just said "google it yourself" and refused to engage further with the point they themselves made.

I fucking hate when people state something and then ask others to find the proof themself

100%. Even if they aren't just talking out of their ass, even if the thing they said IS true and someone could find it with a Google search, it's just faster and easier for everyone if they provide it themselves. Because let's say they make a claim (like, I dunno, last year's rainfall was the highest in recorded history) and they tell me to google it myself. Let's say I go and try to google it, but because I have a different search history than them, I get different results. Maybe I see other sites that say something else (like, I got results that only showed rainfall for the US, not the whole world), or I just don't find anything reliable either way. Then that means I have to come back, having spent time googling and not gotten the result they thought I would, and we're right back where we started. Meanwhile, they could have just provided the source they (supposedly) already saw that convinced them, and they could have saved BOTH of us some time.

Yes. I have even had trouble finding my own sources. I might have seen a study a year ago on page one on google and when trying to find it today it was not on the first 10 pages. And as you said the search results are different vased on many things. I usaly just add a link right away on my first comment, sadly many facebook pages have links disables so the comments gets shadow removed

How on earth is the other person getting downvoted here. "I couldn't find any" is a hilarious response.

I immediately assumed Trump, until they said they couldn't find any examples

I'm gonna upvote, but at this moment you've got 34 so it's a painful decision

I’ve been staring at this comment trying to decide what it means lol. What’s the significance of 34? Do you just like that number? Nocturne Sapphire come from a show where 34 is an important number? Do you really like scandals from Trackmania? What does it mean?

34 felony convictions.
What does Trackmania have to do with 34? Riolu?

u/AggressiveSpatula 17d ago
Oh lmao I didn’t catch that reference.
The trackmania bit is a bit complicated but basically Wirtual (popular streamer) made a map for a popular tournament and offered a prize to people who first beat his time on the map. In his hunt for the map, he set his keyboard to give him the option steer at 34% of what normal steering is set to. In this particular map, that level of prevision was a massive advantage, and it was near impossible for anybody to beat the time because they lacked that precision. It wasn’t illegal at the time, but was then made illegal following the incident. 34 has become notorious now because of that.

Sadly someone else downvoted me. tbh, I dislike these special number comments too, but only because they're saying they're not going to upvote it. Like other people aren't going to and "ruin" the amount

It's.. literally your own comment

u/C_Hawk14 17d ago
No it's not. There's a difference that you might've missed? I said I would upvote. Those comments say they're not upvoting.

I think they're referring to the fact that OP seems to have misquoted the person in the photo. The photo says "you could quite easily find 10 strong examples", but the title on this thread is "I could quite easily find 10 strong examples".
Maybe it was a mistake, or maybe OP was simply saying it from their point of view instead of the person in the photo, who knows.

Yeah I was correcting the title of the post since I can't change it

I can't even imagine seeing, or having, this interaction and thinking this is worthy of a reddit post. A mere crumb of bullshit they didn't even care about
