It’s Suzy Quilts Starling Pattern, and it’s my first quilt using more complex blocks, not just 5” squares. I’m so happy and proud, my husband took the photos 🥹🤍

I wanted to at least get the top pieced and out of the way before I have to make Halloween costumes for the kids. I really like how it turned out but trimming the HSTs seams pressed open (per instructions) was a total pain!

FYI the pattern is Hello Summer by Sarah Made, but made with the Christmas themed kit.

I wanted to show off the final result. I had asked for advice regarding possible sashing/breaking up the chaos. I chose black sashing and alternating colors. I like it, it‘s growing on me. These are my two favorite colors and sometimes have to remind myself they don’t always go together. The background fabric is gorgeous and Dio De Los Muertos themed, and my son pointed out it’s pretty Halloween themed! In the end, I love the blocks (Scrappy Stars - I got the pdf version - totally worth the it!), but am not a fan of FPP. Too much paper removing.

I'm making a giant (24" x 36") pillow for my mom for her birthday! She has three cats and I'm getting them all on the pillow. I've finished the front with her two kittens and I love how it's turning out! (cat tax in second pic.)

Baby bear quilt, with baby for scale.

Made a quilt from Quilt Alaska's Baby Bear pattern and kit. It was so great to get all the fabric I needed in one kit! I did the topper on my machine and then I hand quilted the layers together. I used a red flannel for the back and the only downside of that is I didn't want to give it away because a flannel blanket backer is just so comfy and cozy.

Also the cat fell in love with it and removing all the cat hair was a real pain in the patoot.

All done! Currently stitching the binding down, but that doesn't really count. These two were my first proper attempts at FMQ, so be gentle!

This is my second finished quilt top and it's supposed to become a wall hanging. It's a mix of appliqué and foundation paper piecing. However I'm not sure how to quilt it. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!

Rainbow themed quilt top. Now to make the back. When i make the back, it'll have a quilt center and thick light blue borders. Haven't picked out the middle layer yet.

I saw this quilt on a tik tok and I am desperate to make it, but I can’t find the pattern anywhere! Does anyone know where this might be from?

I started this pattern called thunderstruck, and they show various ways to layout the blocks. But I found many other ways to layout them out. Now I can’t decide which one to use.

I learned so much about basting and quilting by completing this quilt with an experienced teacher.

My first ever quilt (gift for my best friend’s baby!) and I decided to really go for it with this design. Now I am kicking myself because I can’t find a way to lay out my blocks in a way that looks good to me.

I’m trying to avoid any blocks with the same star or border next to each other but at this point I’m not sure if that’s even possible with the amount of each one I have. Are there any hacks to this? I still need to add sashing and cornerstones so I need to figure this out asap 😭

I am so close to finishing a full size star pop quilt. But I was running out of steam so I needed to take a break by starting my next project, a big block queen quilt for my bestie using RSS Fireglow. I ordered two layer cakes early in the year and when they got here, I had no idea what I was going to do with them. I like the big block idea to show off the prints. Each block is about 25” and I plan to add sashing. I’m very new to quilting. Still just in my first year of sewing.

This is the Harbor Stars quilt design and I would love to make it, but I’m a little stumped on how I would go about adding the checkered lines between the stars? I can’t tell if the checkers are quilted or if it’s just the pattern of the fabric. I am a super beginner as I’ve only just made one quilt. Any advice or links to YouTube videos would be super helpful! Thank you :)

Goes to a charity I support

Since I totally screwed up the cutting on my last quilting attempt I am giving myself anxiety about cutting diamonds for a lonestar quilt.

Per the instructions, I cut the rough edges off my strip set and we getting ready to start cutting out my diamonds.... but I cant help but think that the angle isn't sharp enough.

I dont want to waste my fabric again. Am I doing this right? I've been watching tutorials on 45° angles all day and I swear I'm doing it right but it still looks so wrong.

I am a digital illustrator and have been fed up with ai lately that I got a sewing machine I want to be able to create with my hands and it’s always been a dream of mine to make a quilt. I just got a sewing machine and practice sewing yesterday I was so proud I was able to set it up by myself. I don’t have any friends that sew and would love any advice or book recommendations , YouTube channels or even things to practice? Everything in this channel looks incredible and I hope one day soon I’ll be able to show off a quilt I created!

I had a quilting bar that I felt was too loose for my machine (Singer Simple 2263) so I got the real one that’s meant for my machine. It seems to still have some wiggle, but this caused me to have crooked quilting lines last time. It is normal for it to wiggle a little or should it be tight/ not moving?

Hi all, I want to make a quilt with the Nintendo 64 logo for my husband. I’m having a hard time visualizing how I want to piece this all together though? I’ve put it into a few generators but the issue is I don’t want a pixelated look, I just want it to look like the logo as it is. It really seems like it should be quite simple but my brain isn’t processing it. Any advice would be appreciated!
