Sometimes, although quite often anymore, I wake up and become conscious before I wake up. I'm not talking about waking up before my alarm clock. I am of present mind for around 10 seconds or more before being woken up from some random happening, usually not my alarm clock.

I am aware and monitoring my thoughts/dream and then 10 seconds later I am awoken. Almost as if I knew I was going to be woken up and started paying attention before it happened. It feels odd like I'm having some kind of a quantum jump!
