I knew it existed because my friend told me a few yrs ago that they are a furry.
But I became a furry within like 0.5s flat as soon as I discovered proots and found out that you can make your own

Also, we do speak the protogen language. Translated to human speech, you'd likely compare it to random beeping and noises that sound a little like a 52k modem or when you call a fax number with your phone :3

Ok so at first for a couple of weeks, I was a hater cuz I was oblivious. Then I learned the truth, and became chill with them. A couple months later, I decided to force myself to be a furry by watching furry content (not inappropriate content) and then over time, it just felt less forced and more so natural. so I guess that's a story. This was all a couple of years ago when I was 13-14

Yeah, lol. The first furry I ever (knowingly) interacted with was a dude on Roblox with a protogen avatar. I've liked progogens ever since and I don't think I've ever had a different favourite furry species.
Also, noise depends, at least in my AU it would be influenced by how they were genetically modified, so it could be anything, really. Though, my protogens mostly just speak normally, so i haven't thought about it too much.

Nah. i discovered it through media. ig youtube thought i was a little guy who would like that and.... now 90% of my feed is furry stuff..... lol exept for shorts i havent seen much on there in a while.
