A few versions ago, effects like Bevel Alpha, Bevel & Emboss and more were made legacy effects or apart of our removed/obsolete list.
The effects team has been hard at work to bring newer versions of the following effects Premiere Beta 27.1 Build 8:
Bevel Alpha (video effects > Stylize): modern take on the classic Bevel Alpha. Add bevels to the edges of your footage and graphics
Bevel & Emboss(video effects > Stylize): one effect for beveling and embossing that replaces the classic Color Emboss effect
Fill (video effects > Generate): popular effect from After Effects finally comes to Premiere
Gradient Tint(video effects > Color Correction): Tint and style your footage with a gradient. It detects mograph elements along with video and re-scales the gradient to fit them.
Hue/Saturation(video effects > Color Correction): A simple hue/saturation effect in the style of Photoshop. It includes presets, colorize option and Surprise Me button.
Posterize(video effects > Stylize): A modern version of the Posterize effect with new features and automated modes.
Radial Blur (video effects > Blur & Sharpen): A high quality radial blur with advanced features including slicing and chromatic aberation.
Zoom Blur(video effects > Blur & Sharpen): A high quality zoom blur with advanced features including slicing and chromatic aberation.
Give them a try and let us know what you think. Happy editing!
I like to marker my clips for long form documentaries, but as you can see once I choose duplicate frame markers it overlaps - it there a workaround for this - seems like a simple code fix to move the markers up a bit.
Today I wanted to export a sequence from an animated movie for online QC.
I created a subsequence of just the part I wanted to export, and used that subsequence to generate an EDL for the conform.
However an odd thing happens - at some cut points instead of showing the first frame of the shot, the program monitor (and exports) show a frame from the previous shot. A frame later, the shot that should be on screen is show, starting on the second frame.
This isn't the case in the main timeline, but is introduced when creating a subsequence.
Can anyone explain what's happening? Obviously this is a bug, has anyone encountered it before?
Premiere v 25.6.5 Build 4
Windows 11
Media is all CFR 25fps.
Type: MPEG Movie
As the title suggests as of today my premiere pro 2026 keeps force closing itself after around 2 minutes of use. Doesn’t matter if I’m actively doing something in the timeline, just sitting in the project select screen or actively editing. After setting a timer multiple times I found that it force closes in the range of 2-2.5 minutes every single time. It doesn’t freeze nor does it slow down before it closes it just closes as if I had hit alt + f4. My specs are a 9800x3d, 5070ti and 32gb of ram (25gb allotted to premiere) so unless there is a very specific bug with these components I don’t think my pc is the issue. Since this only started happening today I tried many different fixes such as re-encoding the footage, turning off any hardware acceleration features, performing a DDU and installing studio drivers, and clearing preferences/cache/plugins, but unfortunately nothing has worked. Kind of at a loss right now so I am writing this in hopes someone else has experienced and has found a solution to this issue.
Thank you for reading and for any help you may offer.
I'm trying to export a 4K 30fps H.264 project in Premiere Pro, but every time I hit export, it gets stuck on the "Validating ingredients 39/39 100%" pop-up right at the beginning.
Tomorrow I have to deliver the video for the client, I'm starting to get frustrated.
If I use "Send to Media Encoder", the export process becomes insanely slow and takes way too much time.
Laptop Specs:
* GPU:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
* CPU: Intel Core i5-12500H
* RAM: 16 GB
Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it? Any help is appreciated!
The media browser in the editing workspace displays this instead of the media I've imported. Any idea how to get it back to the normal view? Thanks. (Using Premiere 2025 because 2026 won't import stereo.)
I am currently attempting to export a video to YouTube, I’ve attempted to export it many times and was met with the same error message.
However, I got it fixed and am now attempting the export. The encoding processes take a little and then it gets to the uploading and the times get as high as 62 hours for the upload.
I’ve attempted uploading from Premiere, Media Encoder, and YouTube and they all take forever.
I have:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 - 1700KF
48GB of installed ram
WD Blue SN5000 1TB
Windows 11 most recent
most of my clips are recorded with OBS
My WiFi works fairly well for other applications on my computer and everything runs fine.
Hi! I’m working on documentary right now and I wanted to do this effect when the picture is also in the back but the back is blurry (Picture 1). Works good so far.
When I go to export it (and when it’s exported) it looks like picture 2 and I don’t know how to fix it!!!!!
This has not happened this frequent until this morning when I try to start working for the day, I use BOTH Premiere Pro and After Effects a lot, and very rare do I get a crash. But this morning, I've gotten well over 10+ crashes happening when just booting up either software, and its making me nearly have a panic attack because I can't work.
I've tried restarting my computer, resetting preferences (that didnt work), manually deleting third party stuff I use, and right now I'm clearing up space on my external SSD which I use to edit on to see if that will work. If it crashes again, then I might just crash out myself.
Forgot to mention thanks commentor 😂
I'm on a mac studio with the M2 Max chip
32GB memory
MacOS Sonoma 14.6
and editing is mostly done on a Samsung T5 external ssd
So this is a strange one. Doing color correction through another vendor (who is using baselight), we found his exported files don’t match our source. But only by one frame. Like if you look at the export from him at the timecode 1:00:00:00, it would match the image of the source file at 00:59:59:22. But that would be the case for every clip. The image would be offset by one frame.
To make matters more strange, it looked like things were even further off on some clips (we figured out something else going on there and solved it), so we had him re-export everything with a few seconds of handles so we could adjust things and make them match. On that batch, only one file was off. Everything else matched perfectly.
But this apparently isn’t isolated to that vendor or baselight. Because we have had the same (or at least very similar) results with another project going through Resolve.
I understand if you don’t have frame rates matching between source media and sequence, or if you’re time remapping, or myriad other combos, that can cause issues with XML communications. But this isn’t drift or total mis-matches. This is the picture in one file being offset by one frame from the source file.
I'm having a bit of trouble improving the audio on the videos I'm editing. Unfortunately, I don't have a microphone yet, and the vlog I recorded has some annoying background noise because I filmed it outside...
Anyway, I wanted to know if there’s a way to improve the audio a little so it’s not so unpleasant for viewers. I tried to fix it, but it ended up sounding like I was underwater, I don’t know how to explain it...
I used Essential Sound > Enhance Speech and DeNoiser

So I’ve been filming all of my gaming footage for the last couple of months and as I’ve been editing it I’ve been getting more footage. Unfortunately I’m very lazy and only drag and drop my videos in the project every once in a while. So now I have an unorganised folder with all my footage in it and a project file with less than half of the original footage in it.
All the footage I have is in a single folder and each of them are like an hour long. If I were to delete everything and just import the folder in I would have to rewrite what I’ve already edited which would be annoying. I could go through every single video and see if it’s in the project or not, but that would take an ungodly amount of time and this project is merely a hobby.
I’ve only taken a basic Premiere Pro class and this software always seems to have more bells and whistles the more I look into it. So I’m simply asking any of my more experienced editor friends if there is some sort of trick I can do to get all of the videos I haven’t already uploaded into my project file without adding any I already have in there. I know I’m kind of asking for a silver bullet to my problems, but I’m fine to risk a little embarrassment for the chance of being able to not throw that much time away. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Today I got a pop-up alert about Content Credentials in Premiere. I work with sensitive media and do not want or need attribution of my legal name to the content I am working on. I have disabled Content Credentials in the Export window (picture #2) as well as in my Creative Cloud account, but it is still applying them to my exports.
AFAIK I use no AI tools when editing, either. This particular export is just clips stitching together with audio and video transitions, and an adjustment layer. No masks or other tools used.
Hey all, fairly new to premiere, only been using about 2 months for work.
Usually, I start by importing my media (duh) but this time it seemingly won’t let me? When I right click on the media browser, it dosent give me an option to import unless I’m already highlighting something, which previously wasn’t the case. Additionally, when I use CTRL+I to manually import, nothing is showing up? Really confused here. Thanks!
In Premiere 26.5.2, I can't use any audio plugins. I've been using the same plugins for over a year on the same computer (Macbook Pro M4 Max on Sequoia), but one day one of them wouldn't show up when I chose it in the mixer panel like i've done a hundred times. So I figured I would rescan to be sure, but then it cleared all my audio plugins out and just freezes when I hit scan, until eventually unfreezing with no results. Anyone running into this?
I have the beta installed and it scans everything and runs it just fine, but I can't use it on my current projects.
I'm a full-time YouTube content creator, currently making around $50–$200 per day over the last few weeks.
I'm considering upgrading my PC to improve my editing workflow, especially faster rendering, smoother editing, and potentially faster uploads.
My current PC:
CPU: Intel i7-11700F
GPU: RTX 3070 Ti 8GB
RAM: 64GB
Storage: 3.2TB
Software: Adobe Premiere Pro
PC I'm considering (€2,400):
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF
GPU: RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
RAM: 32GB DDR5 6400MHz
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Z890-PLUS WiFi
Case: ASUS ProArt PA602 Wood Edition
I make multiple YouTube videos daily, so saving time on rendering and editing would be valuable. I also want to upload videos as quickly as possible, although I understand upload speed mostly depends on my internet connection. Im talking about rendering
My current PC still works well, but I'm wondering whether a newer system would make a noticeable difference in my workflow.
Questions:
Would this upgrade significantly improve Premiere Pro performance and export times?
Is €2,400 a reasonable price for these specs?
Would you recommend upgrading my entire PC or just certain components?
Considering my current YouTube revenue, would this be a worthwhile business investment? Or do i save the money and buy something else?
I don't mind investing in better equipment if it genuinely saves me time, but I also don't want to spend €2,400 for a small improvement.
ok hi, this is weird. I've been editing in premiere pro since 2017. I've worked with seveal clients and this never happened to me.
I edited a video to make some reels for a client. He's got an iphone 16 and an iphone 16 pro, I always send the videos with One Drive Cloud, Google Drive or Wetransfer. In all these 3 options, after 10 seconds of video, he mentions that the video goes in slow motion ?? (this happens when he tries to upload it on Instagram).
I tried to upload the same videos on IG with my iphone 15 pro and downloading the videos with the same options I provided to him and everything goes well...
I always export in 1080, 30fps with h.264 for social media (also recorded in 30fps 1080). I don't know what to do as with all the other phones or computers I tried to upload the video nothing wrong happened... And, the most weird thing is that this does not happend with all the reels that I edited to him and all were recorded and exported with the same features.
Did this happened to some of you? How did you solve it? I have to confess, it pissed me off because I feel unprofessional but honestly, it is the first time it happens and AI does not seem to help.
Thank you in advance and sorry if something is wrong in english, this is not my main language.
