I know what you mean but at the same time Iam kind of missing a clear subject. My eyes are jumping a bit between the underlit car and the woman.

What car?

You see more than one woman in this picture?

This was obviously a typo

Im not either but the gradient is a lot nicer than just a blank grey sheet of nothing.

Missed opportunity to turn wheels at right direction

her hidden feet make me feel unease more

This. Idk why but the front wheels are bothering me in their current position.

When the car is viewed at 3/4 like this, having the wheels turned towards you gives an impression that the car is teetering. Showing the wheel makes it look more planted and "posed", also you should always want to show the wheel face instead of a tire at this angle anyway.

I prefer the before image, though removing the pole is a given.

Okay, so Iโ€™m not crazy. The before photo (not including the pole) has much better lighting that I originally thought it was the after photo.

The lighting on the side of her dress showing strongly that itโ€™s golden hour mixed with the sky. The after photo just looks like some gloomy grey day.

The only thing that makes the edit better and obvious that it's the edit to me is the removal of the pole. I like everything about the before better other than that.

The pole is still visible through the windshield.

Is this cropped? The composition is off (in my opinion). The woman is too far to the right and the car is cropped.

The sky is completely washed out, I'd try to recover some of that. The rest looks good.

In this one I find the negative space distracting. Somehow the vertical distribution of the sky, car and asphalt in the foreground seems off to me. Otherwise pretty cool.

RIP the before image, you were great and didn't deserve what happened to you

I never understood the reason to put the "after" before the "before"

Out of focus.

A tip when shooting cars, turn the wheel away from the camera so the rim is visible instead of the tire tracks.

Could've done with more feet in the shot (I'm not Quentin Tarantino I swear). Also the car is a bit underexposed. Aside from that I think this is good. Unlike some here, I actually like the wheel position and good call making the sky not so blue. Don't think I would've considered that myself.

Is that a Kia Tiburon?

This composition needs a taller photographer with camera held aloft.

The retouch module.

I like the first one better. Just gotta get rid of the pole. And is your subject the woman or the car?

1

u/Badnerific 10h ago

I liked the composition more in the before. Removing the pole puts focus on the tree and takes attention away from the subject, whereas before both together were parts of the background

Remove the tree on the left would be my suggestion. Bring a little saturation back in too maybe
