Elon Musk and Trump are throwing Ukraine to the wolves again

Fixed.

238

u/Lavender_Willo 9h ago

This was always the plan. Trump owes Putin, Elon does business with Russia, and both hate Zelenskyy because he wouldn’t play their corrupt games. Trump literally got impeached for extorting Ukraine, Elon turned off Starlink to sabotage their defense. They’ve been throwing Ukraine to the wolves since day one. MAGA calls themselves patriots while siding with a dictator who is our actual enemy. Treasonous.

66

u/coconutpiecrust 9h ago

Musk's dad absolutely loves Russia. There is nothing to indicate Musk does not. Errol Musk calls it "beautiful' and "civilized". Why do you think they are turning the US into it?

30

u/inquisitive_guy_0_1 I voted 8h ago

I've seen videos that Russia has proudly shared of them using FPV drones to drop grenades on a lady walking her dog. Another of them doing the same thing to a man walking his dog.

Civilized? Get the fuck out of here. (This is not directed at the person im responding to)

3

u/t0mi74 8h ago

I've seen them too, you are not alone in being haunted for the rest of your life.

•

u/HighGainRefrain 7h ago

Why the fuck do people watch shit like that? Like why would you want that in your head?

•

u/inquisitive_guy_0_1 I voted 6h ago

I absolutely dont want to see it. But I also want to know exactly what my traitor of a president is supporting and endorsing. We need to not ignore the realities of what Russia is doing do our allies every day.

•

u/HighGainRefrain 6h ago

Yes but you and I already know that war is a disgusting, brutal nightmare AND we know Russian leadership and troops have zero respect for the lives of non combatants. You’re not learning anything new by watching these kinds of things.

•

u/taylorbagel14 6h ago

I had never heard of these particular atrocities so I would say the other poster did me a favor by taking one for the team, watching it, and then commenting about it so I don’t have to watch it

•

u/DeficitAttention 3h ago

Let's not chalk it up to just a war. It's a war crime. The videos are evidence of those war crimes. It's important for people to have proof that this is what Russia does in a war.

8

u/P1xelHunter78 Michigan 8h ago

Mu$k’$ dad Love$ Ru$$ia.

They’re paid off. Plain and simple. It’s pretty evident now that since the Cold War started winding down the Russians started corrupt business relationships with American/Western business owners.

3

u/coconutpiecrust 8h ago

I don't doubt that "friends help friends", but they just genuinely like the setup where everyone is depraved and corrupt. Some people genuinely like it, all the way until the point where it consumes them once someone even more depraved steps in.

6

u/Competitive_Yam7702 8h ago

Go read up on why musks dad called his son elon

1

u/specqq 8h ago

And the bread!!

•

u/Vanga_Aground 5h ago

Ridiculous argument. Musk is an asshole but attributing the fact that Musk does because his dad does is BS.

•

u/coconutpiecrust 5h ago

SpaceX has a number of investors from Russia; and there is this, of course:  https://apnews.com/article/musk-putin-x-trump-tesla-election-russia-9cecb7cb0f23ccce49336771280ae179

•

u/det0724 5h ago

Too bad for them Ukraine is a lot stronger than they think. The EU and other allies still support them and they will fight until the bitter end on their own if needed

So is this Elon punishing Ukraine for shutting down  Russia's Bot Farm?

I mean.. yeah, but meddling in the meddling.

8

u/ArgyleGhoul 9h ago

No, this is part of the plan to form the new axis power

72

u/SadlyNotPro Europe 9h ago

Been doing that for years. Musk has been intermittently shutting down the paid starlink communications for Ukraine, and Trump immediately stopped providing support.

The only "support" from the US was delivering weapons and munitiona paid for by European allies.

u/BrandenWi 9h ago

Poor wittle Ewon got butthurt after his millions of bot followers suddenly stopped telling him how wonderful he is.

Trump is pissed that Ukraine took out millions of his online supporters with that attack on the Russian data centers. RIP.

7

u/Melodic_Window_6146 8h ago

No wonder Elon was sweating and cutting off Ukraine. A third of his verified blue-check subscribers just went up in smoke.

84

u/Nippys4 9h ago

Did this dumb fuck just trade Ukraine for like 6 days worth of fuel or something?

Is that what’s going on?

67

u/maddprof 9h ago

Probably more likely Elon and Trump are big mad they lost their propaganda engine with the Ukrainian strikes against Russian data centers.

Was this some dumb fuck gambit to lower fuel prices but Trump doesn’t know that however much he’s getting isn’t enough to move the needle?

He’s just fucked Ukraine because he’s a fucking idiot

7

u/thealmightyzfactor 8h ago

No he knows it's pointless, he wants to be able to point to Ukraine as the source of the problem because he's a fucking idiot who made the problem

•

u/ozfresh 6h ago

Nah, probably more to do with them destroying all the Russian bot farms that the conservatives relied on

•

u/ballofplasmaupthesky 6h ago

Bruh, let's be objective

- the global lack of diesel may cost the Republicans seats in Congress

- Trump doesn't want that (impeachement, etc etc)

- Musk doesn't want that (cushy gov contracts, he may be investigated for DOGE, etc)

For them midterm results >>> Ukraine. So, yeah, they pissed at Ukraine.

•

u/ParkingVisual3735 6h ago

Simply a straw man. They need to blame Zelenskyy and Ukraine for the oil price.

•

u/Railroader17 6h ago

That, and their retaliating against Ukraine because they destroyed the Yandex data centers and crippled Russia's internet propaganda machine which is pivotal in pushing Trump and Musks far right ideologies (and also making Twitter look better to advertisers by bumping up their user counts)

•

u/Sweet-Emu-7698 3h ago

Who is dumb enough to fall for any right-leaning propaganda anymore? People can’t be THAT stupid, can they?

•

u/AngryMillennialFU 3h ago

Yes. See Trump 2016. Excusing Jan 6. Trump 2024. Brexit. Recent German elections.

•

u/ballofplasmaupthesky 6h ago

I don't think - Ukraine did so much damage Russia's exports are much lower and they even had to import some from India. And it's the diesel price specifically, not crude.

What it is, however, is a very egotistical position to take.

3

u/_slagwire 9h ago

6 pinky promises worth of fuel

3

u/notmyworkaccount5 8h ago

Yeah they're desperate to have any kind of "win" for their base before midterms.

•

u/insanitazer 6h ago

Looks like Trump is paying Russia a bribe with fake oil deal to help him rig elections once again. Didn’t ASC mention that Elon helped by using his satellites?

•

u/nickyboay 5h ago

My fear is it will be false flag rigging. Trump has Russia and Elon hack for the Dems, the FBI will "discover" the fraud and then send Dem candidates to prison for collusion with foreign enemies or some other hypocritical BS. Trump gets to be proven right and keep power at the same time.

•

u/FunkadelicJiveTurkey 2h ago

It’s not the first time the idiot does something like this. It’s how idiot does business: changing sides and throwing threaths every day whatever suits the idiot. Idiot has done similar stuff with Ukraine and Russia many times already. People just forget, because of idiotic information load. Everyday its some new mean and stupid shit.

Can’t wait for idiot to fade away. Luckily idiot is old.

I decided a while ago I will not use orange man’s name any more. Clown is not worth calling by name.

•

u/Drekkful 7h ago

How is it trading Ukraine exactly? If it’s such an insignificant amount of fuel then how is it benefiting russia enough to defeat ukraine? According to the media Russia’s been on the verge of defeat for 4 years, zelensky just needs X more billion dollars and it will be over for sure!

•

u/DonaldMerwinElbert 4h ago

By punishing Ukraine for fighting back - like demanding they stop targeting refineries, because of homeopathic amounts of Diesel to bail Trump out of his own unforced error.
Really not that difficult to understand, is it?

22

u/SassyPotato22 9h ago

Next admin needs to ground SpaceX and starlink, move NASA under the Military, use half the military budget to build in house alternatives to both.

24

u/Walkingstardust Florida 9h ago

Nationalize them both and save the money. Musk is already convinced that he's going to prison when the Democrats take control. Let's give him his wish.

•

u/Due_Bluebird3562 6h ago

Prison is way too good. I say we cease his assets in their entirety then deport him back to South Africa and have the South African government deal with him.

3

u/Willinton06 8h ago

Ground them? Nationalize them

•

u/Skellum 3h ago

Next admin needs to ground SpaceX and starlink, move NASA under the Military, use half the military budget to build in house alternatives to both.

Honestly I wish they'd extend military medical benefits nation wide and roll medicade and medicare under it.

While I'd prefer a civilian Medicare for all what I care most about is people getting help. If we literally just have to extend our 'make work program' aka the military to also be our medical system then fuck it lets ball.

u/phlred 9h ago

Betrayed by Trumpelstilskin for Blood Diesel

The starlink brand destruction should anger SpaceX shareholders

10

u/barryvm Europe 9h ago

Not even that. For the pretense of blood diesel. Trump can now try to blame Ukraine defending itself against Russia for the energy crisis he caused through his stupid war. In return the US aligns itself to Russia and stabs Ukraine in the back.

2

u/quitejustno 8h ago

He can try to shift the blame. If the houthis and saudis keep this up with the straight still closed, we can expect fuel prices to go up much higher before the end of the year.

Of course all of that will be Ukraine's fault too but hey... who cares about the truth.

•

u/barryvm Europe 6h ago

I presume that's why Trump and his henchmen think it's worth a try. Their supporters don't care about the truth. They'll be looking for someone to blame too, because of course they are ultimately to blame for their country's present state.

Up til now, Trump and his ilk haven't ever lost by betting on the selfishness and stupidity of their supporters, but that may be about to change. It's now so much easier for them to blame him by "discovering" he "betrayed" them than to believe any of the convoluted narratives about Ukraine.

From what I've read, there's "Starlink", the commercial part of the business directly controlled by SpaceX, and "Starshield", the government/military part of the business that is under the control of the DoD (not managing the satellite infrastructure directly, but managing their usage).

All this to say: it may not have been Elon, it could have been Hegseth (and it wouldn't be the first time he unilaterally decides to undermine Ukraine). Or both.

Hegseth: Hey Elon, how can I sabotage Starlink for the Ukrainians?
Elon: We just added in a "speed limit" kill switch, so set that to something a lot slower than their drones and they'll stop working roflmao11111I'msoC00L!

5

u/SeveralPhysics9362 8h ago

Well yea. An alcoholic white power loving ex Fox News personality isn’t much better than whatever sad excuse for a human Musk is.

2

u/poilu1916 8h ago

According to this NYT article: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/10/14/business/starshield-spacex-ukraine-starlink-satellites-musk.html
(non-paywall link)

For years, Ukraine’s armed forces have relied on SpaceX’s Starlink, which provides internet connectivity from satellites in lower earth orbit, and more recently its military-grade sister service, Starshield. Ukraine said on Tuesday that some military operations had been jeopardized, and specifically cited restrictions on Starshield.

and

Mr. Beskrestnov said that the restrictions, which applied to devices traveling over 100 miles per hour and using Starshield, were related to “the current political situation.” Devices that broadcast satellite internet to users, which SpaceX calls “terminals,” can be placed on vehicles or drones to help guide them when traveling at high speeds.

7

u/HarakenQQ 9h ago

The story is about Starshield, which is under control of the US government.

Absolutely Congress should act on this to force Trump to support Ukraine.

8

u/Mala_Practice Canada 8h ago

They’re pissed because Zelensky exposed their vulnerability.

The rest of Europe needs to step up its support for Ukraine. Together they have 10 times Russia's GDP. If Russia isn't defeated in Ukraine it will eventually come for the rest of Europe. Forget about the USA, it's broken, can't be relied on. It is becoming like an old imperial power from the 19th century. All it cares about is increasing the wealth of its oligarchs.

13

u/Leather_Force_9419 8h ago

Is this the line? once crossed that will finally get America's to actually sacrifice and save/take their country? , No? Then what is? What changes " I have work tomorrow so i couldnt possibly..." into actually taking action! To be clear, im talking about countrywide strikes, cancelling all subscriptions, etc Trump n Republicans are a symptom, they must go for the head of the snake, shut down the economy, hurt the billionaires

8

u/Admirable_Scene_5066 8h ago

That is not the line, Americans would gladly throw Ukraine under the bus if it netted them 20 dollars. Whatever the US does around the world, it doesn't register as long as they are kept comfortable. They'll gleefully steal the world's resources to keep it going.

It is not ICE playing brownshirts, it is not the administration blatantly stealing from them, it is certainly not the US backstabbing allies. The only thing that turns the US against Trump is having to pay a bit more at the pump. If oil was 10 cents cheaper than in 2024, republicans would win the midterms in a landslide.

The country is a lost cause.

1

•

u/HellaTroi California 6h ago edited 6h ago

No paywall for me this time.

"last October, Trump sanctioned Rosneft and Lukoil and he has allowed European allies to buy American weapons for Kyiv. But each arc towards Ukraine has been shallow and temporary, whereas each subsequent movement back towards Russia has gone deeper than the last."

Then this:

"A proposed sale of Lukoil’s international oil fields, refineries and fuel stations has become part of US-Russia talks on ending the war in Ukraine, The New York Times reported on 3 October."

"The deal would need approval from both the US government and the Kremlin, and would benefit Middle Eastern business executives with ties to US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the newspaper reported."

https://www.oilandgasmiddleeast.com/news/lukoil-assets-ukraine-talks

Any purchase of Lukoil will line the pocket of Putin, and will immediately add much needed funding for Russia's war on Ukraine.

The Trump fueled US negotiators are brazenly working to bring the US closer to Russia, and fund their illegal, brutal war on a non-aggressor country.

•

u/ou-really 6h ago

•

u/Captcha_Imagination 6h ago

The question is can Russia supported by USA win vs Ukraine supported by EU + UK + Canada + Japan?

I don't know the answer to that, but I know it's not the cakewalk that Russia would want it to be.
