I do think there is a greater than 30% chance he suggests something with his name in it. Washington D.T. makes a lot of sense.

I went with removing "Columbia" and replacing it with America because it matches his trend with the Gulf of Mexico, and Lake Ontario. It also matches with him wanting to throw "America" into one for these oceans too. I think "District of America" is just more likely because of that.

I also do not believe he knows what D.C. actually stands for in the name.

The average doesn't-follow-the-news person can't really say for sure whether Trump's handling of issues like Ukraine or Iran is bad or not. These renamings are incredibly simple issues and very unpopular according to the polls that have been done.

So the typical selfish low-information voter can be fooled by Trump's legion of Fox News guests into believing that what Trump did with Russia was appropriate and necessary. But even stupid people understand that renaming the oceans won't make diesel fuel any cheaper at the gas pumps. Also, I think most people have a basic sense that changing the names of things just complicates life for everybody, so unless they were named after someone later found to be a sex criminal, it's simpler to just leave the names as they are.
