Possible Paywall Trump Suggests Letting Iran “Take Out” Los Angeles and San Diego - California leaders are furious after the president suggested that losing the two cities is a “small price to pay.”

The rally crowd booed him when he said this in 2021:
I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You've got to do what you have to do. But I recommend take the vaccines. I did it. It's good. Take the vaccines.
Bill O'Reilly asked Trump in Dec 2021 if he got a booster shot and he said yes. The crowd booed him then, too.
Crowd booed Trump when he was stumping for Mehmet Oz at a rally.
But, yeah, it's mostly a Nazi circlejerk at those rallies and most people forget about his support of the vaccine and booster and those that didn't just say it's his advisors'/aides' fault for advising him badly.
Outside his rallies, he gets booed all the time once he leaves his safe MAGA space.

I mean, yeah. Example, Kamala Harris's stated corporate tax policy was to set things back to what Reagan set them to in the 1980s (which at the time was highly controversial as it slashed marginal tax rates and especially corporate taxes HEAVILY versus what they were before, contributing massively to wealth disparity in this country) and they called her a communist for suggesting it. Which is doubly horrific, a) it means our supposed left party in 2024 was advocating for what our RIGHTWING party considered a huge win a while back (which servers as excellent proof that our supposed left party has shifted further and further right themselves), but also b) even that right-shifted party is STILL considered so far left of what these shitfucks want that they call it "Communist" despite it literally being what the Conservatives fought for in living memory.

Also, I could be wrong about this, but doesn't LA have one of the highest Iranian populations in the US? LA has the largest Iranian population outside of Iran. And they were marching in LA streets begging Trump to go to war with Iran to overthrow the prior regime. I remember saying to a friend at the time "they'll get what they want, but not how they want it."

u/dancefan2019 8d ago
There were mixed responses from the L.A. Iranians. Protests on one side of the city had Iranians supporting a regime change. Protests in another part of L.A. had Iranians protesting against the war. They would all probably want a regime change, but they don't want the devastation to their countrymen that would come from a war with the U.S.

So when do we decide that Trump has violated the Constitution and is unfit for any role in government, going as far as he should be put on trial as a traitor? Is suggesting that an adversarial country attack the nation he swore to protect for political gain enough for the TRUE PATRIOTS?

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
It's open treason... again.

Don't forget the largest ports in the US, Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach where 30% to 40% of all US goods flow in and out.

u/UnNumbFool 8d ago
Yeah seriously, of all cities the three major ones in California and NYC are probably the actually best to hit if you're trying to completely destroy/destabilize the country.
But seeing as the guy is a Russian asset and in the pocket of all of the tech billionaires who want that kind of thing it makes sense that he'd be ok with it. Granted I'm pretty sure those cities are a suggestion to him, and not anything his mush brain would think of even if he wasn't in cognitive decline

I swear, when I hear right wingers saying this my opinion of them sinks to levels I previously did not think possible. They're inventing new levels for my opinion of them to sink to.

So, he’s not a president because presidents swore an oath to protect all Americans, not just the ones that voted for him. That was what he stated and swore to during his inaugurations, both times. Since he refuses to do the job and refuses to uphold his oath, he should be removed from office.

I live near the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach. It is the biggest container port on the United States with 30% to 40% of ALL US goods flowing through it. And San Diego holds the Pacific Fleet of the US Navy.
The thought of an Iranian dirty bomb being smuggled in a container has been a real talked about threat to this area since 9/11. It is a real threat here, especially with Orange Mussolini escalating things there.
The fact Trump said this without blinking an eye and Republicans cheering through their hatred of California and Los Angeles is no surprise. The surprise to many of us in this area is that people keep voting for this fool and his ilk.
Vote these idiots out in November, please. All of them.

If 9/11 happened today, I can’t help but feel that Donald Trump would cheer it on. I know he did brag about his building being the tallest when it happened, but I think it would be much worse today. Hell if Pearl Harbor happened today…

I’m not really sure what to even think about this. The president, openly suggesting that we should let Iran nuke two major American cities, probably solely due to the fact they’re in California and ‘the enemy’ is something I never thought I’d ever live to see even from this deranged lunatic.
I’m at a loss man. It’s obvious no one who can do anything cares to or will. This is insane. Any other president this single couple of lines would’ve been at minimum a massive, massive polling and approval nuke, and at most severe likely invoke impeachment hearings.
But for Trump it’s just, nothing. It’s crazy how accurate he was about the ‘I could shoot someone on fifth Avenue and not lose a single supporter’ line.

This is totally absurd and unforgivable and it’s past time for this man to be removed from office. It is now more than obvious that he is severely mentally impaired and unfit for office. So Trump is willing to sacrifice roughly 5.3 million Californian Americans to Iran to compensate for a war he started as a distraction to the Epstein files. What a fucking asshole! Get him out!

Conservatives for the past 25 years: Never forget 9/11 when terrorists took down a couple buildings in one of our cities.
Conservatives now: Iran can blow up two whole cities and we'll cheer.

He is hoping it would do for him what 9/11 did for GWB and bring in support for his dumbass war from people who don’t currently support it.
Of course anyone with a brain would be more pissed off with our government for not merely failing to protect our cities but refusing to protect them.

I am interested in serious debate.
There is no serious debate to be found here. Anyone that sides with Trump is going to be doing so from a position of ignorance and/or hate.
The ignorant will write it off as, "Trump is just blustering, he still does good things for the country."
and the ones filled with hatred are just glad to see a blue state wiped off the map.

“ The horrible thing about the Two Minutes Hate was not that one was obliged to act a part, but, on the contrary, that it was impossible to avoid joining in. Within thirty seconds any pretence was always unnecessary. A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge-hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one’s will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic. And yet the rage that one felt was an abstract, undirected emotion which could be switched from one object to another like the flame of a blowlamp. ”

Trump became president because he knows how to speak to people’s base instincts. “Hate other”.
He gets away with it bc he’s a tv personality and he does it with a wink and a nod.
