3b pot Davy block calls flop, x/c turn and now finds donk 5% on river.
This is apparently off tree and a pure check to let BU bluff if he wants to.
I would just check river, IDK what blocking does really but I'm not sick enough to find 5% donk bets.

I wanted poker to return to Pechanga so bad.
Be careful what you wish for, I guess.

I’ve been thinking about something regarding GGPoker, and I want to know if anyone else has considered this theory.
Most people who claim online poker is rigged believe the site somehow manipulates the flop, turn, or river to create bad beats.
But my theory is different.
What if the manipulation happens before the flop, when the hole cards are dealt?
Think about it from a business perspective. GGPoker makes money through rake, taking a percentage of the pot in cash games, generally up to a certain cap.
So the bigger the pot, the more rake they can potentially collect, at least until that cap is reached.
Now imagine two scenarios:
Scenario 1:
Player A gets A♠ 7♦
Player B gets K♣ 4♥
Player C gets 9♠ 2♣
Nobody has a particularly strong hand. There’s a decent chance the pot stays small or everyone folds.
Scenario 2:
Player A gets A♠ K♠
Player B gets Q♥ Q♦
Player C gets J♣ J♦
Suddenly, multiple players have premium hands. Everyone has a legitimate reason to put money into the pot, potentially creating a much bigger pot and generating more rake for the platform.
Here’s my theory:
What if GGPoker doesn’t need to manipulate the community cards at all?
What if its dealing algorithm simply increases the frequency at which two or more players receive strong starting hands in the same hand?
The platform wouldn’t necessarily need to decide who wins. It could let the rest of the hand play out normally.
All it would need to do is create more situations where multiple players feel confident enough to invest significant amounts of money.
And here’s what makes this interesting: players might not even notice it.
When you lose with pocket kings against pocket aces, you usually think, “That’s just a cooler. It happens.”
And you’re right. Coolers absolutely happen in legitimate poker.
But what if those situations were happening more frequently than they statistically should?
Over millions of hands, even a relatively small increase in the frequency of premium-hand confrontations could potentially generate additional rake.
I’m not claiming I have proof that GGPoker does this. This is a hypothesis, not an accusation based on verified evidence. I also understand that rake caps mean bigger pots don’t always generate more revenue.
But I think it’s a more interesting theory to investigate than the usual “the river is rigged” argument.
The real question is:
Has anyone actually analyzed a large database of GGPoker hand histories to see whether premium-hand confrontations occur more frequently than mathematically expected?
I’m talking about situations like AA vs KK, KK vs QQ, AK vs AQ, or multiple players receiving strong starting hands simultaneously.
With a sufficiently large and representative sample, this should be statistically testable.
I’d genuinely like to hear from people who understand poker probabilities, hand-history analysis, or how online poker RNGs are audited.
Am I missing something mathematically, or is this a hypothesis worth testing?

1/3 - 8 players
HJ (Hero): 2 2
500 effective
Pre-flop ($4):
LJ calls, Hero raises $20, BU calls, LJ calls
Flop ($64): K♠️ J♥️ 2♦️
LJ checks, Hero bets $20, BU calls, LJ calls
Figured pretty standard bet on this flop only one player behind idk if he would stab here
Turn ($124): 9♣️
LJ checks, Hero bets $143, BU calls, LJ folds
Button tanked for 45 seconds before calling
Maybe could've gone bigger but i was setting up for a river shove
River ($410): T♥️
Hero checks, BU bets $200, Hero folds
I checked because hands like KJ J9 would start folding here, any Q makes a straight.
Its live 1/3 so my read on population is that they underbluff most spots unfortunately i dont have a read on the player.
Correct fold?
BU wins $410

What’s the point of this event at a WSOP circuit event? Just to get some hands in?

I was playing in a 6-player table. I was at UTG this game. I had 3♥️5♥️. I limped, since players are pretty passive in this room not much preflop raises will happen. Cutoff raised to 3bb, button folded, SB and BB called, I called. Flop came 2♠️7♦️ J♥️. Checked through flop, turn came 4♥️, SB and BB checked to me, I overbet to 2x pot, which is 24bb, they all folded. I'm not sure if this is the correct play.

I was a long time avid online poker player and have taken a bit of a hiatus. Since the ban years ago I played a bunch on Bovada/Ignition but its been probably 5 years. What is the best site for CA residents where I can buy via crypto, has decent traffic for cash games and permits 3rd party hubs?
Thank you! Looking forward to getting back to the grind.

I’ve heard really mixed things you can’t cash out some places let you, it’s really soft, they rake heavily etc can someone fill me in as to what it’s really like I’d only want to play for real cash

My plan is to ask questions daily about my solver work since I am new to solvers, and you can show me ways to make my study routine more effective. There won't be any video calls. At least not for now. And we can agree on a monthly price for this program. You can spend around 10 minutes per day answering questions I have.
There are different ways people study. Some are more efficient than others. My goal is to improve my methods so I can improve the fastest possible. After that, we can also start doing more analysis like focusing on exploitative strategies.

I practice good bankroll management and get in these ruts where I just expect opponents to win by showdown.
Anytime I think Ive weathered the worst downswing in my career, here comes another one.
Ive gone through this so many times in poker. I never have to redeposit and winning is a such a slow ass grind. I grind up 20 buyins then go on a 10 buyin downswing.
I get variance sucks, but goddamn, when you think it cant get worse, it does! Happy grinding.

I was already paying around 10bb/100 in rake at 100NL, and now the ante has gone up by 50%. On top of that, they're also taking rake preflop.
With the games already being this expensive to beat, is CoinPoker even worth playing anymore?
What do you guys think?

I’m looking for some tournaments in the GTA area.
23 players left, top 18 pay. Should I be betting on the turn? Thoughts on the fold? Very on the fence there.

Hey guys, I’m new in Brisbane and looking for some chill poker home games. Willing to play from 0.25-0.50 to 1-2 blinds.
1/2/3, $500 eff.
4 limp including villain (old grandpa) in button.
I isolate to 25 with AsQd in BB, only button calls.
Flop is AcQc7h. I bet 35 into around 60, then he min raises to 70. I was not really sure what to make of this raise, but I decided to flat. Maybe I should 3! but was maybe too concerned about monsters under the bed in his limp call range like 7-7. Pot is 200
Turn is a 2h bringing backdoor heart draw, I check he bet 50 I call still confused at what he could have. Pot is 300.
River is a seemingly blank 3h I check he bet 100 I just call. He tables Qh9h for runner runner flush, raising flop with middle pair and putting me in disbelief.
Wondering how I could have played this better. Obviously when looking at full hand 3! Flop is the play but yeah just a strange hand when happening in real time

Cruised the final table, had 7-1 chips by heads-up, won the first all in. Maybe I'll keep playing this game a while longer

I used to be an active member on twoplustwo forums many moons ago when it was very active and helpful. There was good information if you were stubborn enough to go and find it. I have to admit I still run across some helpful people online occasionally, but I have started asking AI poker questions more and more. It has been extremely helpful with the right prompts. Pretty much am starting to come to the conclusion that forums/reddits/etc have mostly become a waste of time unless I am looking for entertainment.
I for one, welcome our new AI overlords.... Meat bags are too much of a hassle...
