Community Discussion: Let's build some guidelines NSFW
Hey everyone, creators and followers,
We've been reading the comments, and it's clear a lot of you are frustrated with posts that feel staged. We want to open this up and work with you on a few things.
Guidelines to help creators build trust
First of all, we're putting together some practical guidelines that creators can follow to show the community that a post is genuine and to build more trust around their content. The goal is to make it easier for authentic dares to stand out and reduce the constant "fake / staged" noise.
What do you want to see to believe? Some points we have in mind: * A clearer interaction, maybe with sound * Visible brand / visible food * Payment system? (getting harder to get with phone payment)
What else would make a difference for you? Keep in mind we also need to keep privacy for the creator and the delivery employee. And that's our next point.
Safety, consent and privacy
These remain non-negotiable.
Anyone answering the door in a vulnerable state is taking a real personal risk. That has to stay front of mind. Don't doxx yourself.
The delivery person also has privacy and consent rights. We know about the double standard between men and women, but it still can be considered as sexual harrasment. I mean, it is without proper consent in most countries. No one should be ambushed, or left feeling trapped or exposed. Faces and identifying details need careful handling. Where it's practical, clear communication (a note in the order, a quick heads-up, etc.) is strongly preferred so the interaction stays consensual.
This point is important as a creator but also as a viewer. Keep in mind that some content can look staged, just because the creator took the time before to ask if the person was fine with it.
Creators pumping out large amounts of staged content
We're also looking at accounts that produce industrial volumes of clearly staged material. We're open to ideas on how to handle this so the sub doesn't get flooded by content the community doesn't consider a real dare.
Possible directions include clearer labeling (in fact we have a flair for that), posting limits, or just removing it. What do you think is reasonable? What would actually improve the sub for you?
Thank you everyone (creators and viewers) for the feedback, we will use it as we refine the guidelines and any next steps.
