First attempt at piccalilli

Cauliflower, shallot, red peppers, carrots and green beans

House still smelled like apple cider vinegar hours later

Thanks. That's just given me the impetus to think about making some myself. My Grandad made some in the 1970s and used turmeric and madras curry powder. It worked a treat and we got through it quickly enough. You can't beat a good piccalilli.

That’s why I made it

My grandad used to make his own but never passed the recipe on. I’ve decided it’s time to bring it back so found one online

This looks great! I'm not British, so I had to google it. I love mustard pickles so I think I'd enjoy this.

That was on of my favorite condiments when I was growing up in Massachusetts. B&M made piccalili back in the 50s. My family would have their baked beans and brown bread with a generous amount of piccalili.

Incredible. This is something I’ve been debating for a long time, but it seems so complicated. Can’t wait to hear how it turned out. I absolutely adore picallili and have to go to a special continental shop in Los Angeles to pick it up.
