Suzuki would be amazing. His 134 wRC+ would be the second best on this team behind Schwarber. Stick him in one of the corners and be happy when he hits 25 home runs, which would be third on the Phillies this year.
Fuck this offense was sad

These are all Flex Seal on the Titanic.

And that's fine, given the circumstances.
We have elite SP and a core that is untradable. You have to patch it up as much as you can until the contracts expire or become moveable (which would also require the players to want to be traded).
Make the team as good as you can under the constraints of the contracts we have, don't sign another long term deal that goes past 2032.
Have fun watching the team compete.
If you're in this for a win a championship or bust you're just going to have a bad time in life.

I agree with you. I walked away from this postseason feeling like the true core of this team - Sanchez, Wheeler, Luzardo, Harper, Schwarber - is still good enough to win in the playoffs. That’s more than the majority of teams in the league can say.
Flex seal and maybe some luck with young players finally panning out is exactly what this team needs.

Who knows what's going on with Morejon right now. Where was he in the NLDS? Abreu would be a better option. Dubon would be a great replacement for Sosa. But idk if I'd take him over Sosa for the same price. Anyway, Dombrowski gets paid enough to figure this all out. I'm not going to help him.

Dubon over Sosa at the same price? Absolutely.
But Dubon is probably going to get 2-3 years from someone for $12-$13m if I had to guess

That’s fine. We gave Kepler that much for one year. We could do a 2-3 year on someone worth it like that.

Suzuki would be a nice addition considering our lineup (excluding a few) is shit, but nothing on this list is going to improve us greatly.

Dubon would be a good pickup. Could be the stopgap at 2B/3B until Miller is ready and be a super sub after. Sosa is a free agent after all.

I’d be a real big fan of signing Suzuki! Seems like some decent relief pitchers as well

Why is Arozorena not on this list?

Kind of a weird qualifier for an article to be honest.

Right? Let’s not talk about the best available free agents, instead let’s ONLY talk about guys recently bounced from the playoffs. Ummmm….what’s w the bizarreness of your slant over there at OnPattison fellas?? 🤔

Chisholm bats lefty and rides the bench against left handed pitching pretty often, he’s more of the same of what we have unfortunately

We need (at least) an infielder, an outfielder, some bullpen arms, a manager, and truthfully we could use more than one of each.

Suzuki, Happ, Abreu? You got the wrong year dog.
