G'day, potential future recipients of my questionable handwriting!
I'm a 36-year-old Aussie bloke looking for some snail mail penpals. Ideally people who enjoy a good conversation, possess a healthy dose of curiosity, and don't take themselves too seriously. Bonus points if your sense of humour is slightly broken.
I'm a pretty easygoing, open-minded sort of human. I'm fascinated by psychology, sociology, and human behaviour in general.
I love exploring different perspectives, questioning my own assumptions, and having conversations that make me think. You don't have to agree with me on everything. In fact, I'm much more interested in understanding how you see the world than convincing you to see it my way.
Personality-wise, I'm a mixture of thoughtful observer, creative thinker, occasional social butterfly, and twelve-year-old trapped in a 36-year-old's body. My humour tends towards the immature, absurd, and slightly inappropriate (within reason). I can go from discussing the human condition to laughing at a ridiculous word in approximately three seconds.
I'm a massive dog lover and passionate about animal welfare. Honestly, dogs are just wooftastic. I also enjoy music, reading, road trips, nature, getting lost in thought, and socialising whenever my internal battery permits. Sometimes I'm keen to talk about everything under the sun; other times I'd happily disappear into the bush with a dog and my thoughts for a while.
As for letters, I'd love to exchange everything from deep philosophical ramblings and personal stories to random observations, ridiculous hypotheticals, strange facts, and tales of everyday life.
Tell me about your weird interests, your unpopular but harmless opinions, the things that fascinate you, what makes you laugh, or something you've changed your mind about. Tell me about the ordinary stuff too. I find people endlessly interesting, even when they think their lives are boring.
I'm open to penpals from anywhere, of different ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. All I really ask is that you're genuine, curious, kind, and willing to put a bit of effort into getting to know another human via the increasingly endangered art of putting ink on dead trees.
If this sounds like your cup of tea (or whatever beverage fuels your existence), send me a message and introduce yourself.
To get the ball rolling: what's a completely harmless hill you're willing to die on?
P.S. If you have a dog, I will almost certainly require details. Possibly photographic evidence. This is non-negotiable. 🐕
