Box Used my luck on a lesser item

Still bought it asap, had to check to see if it was wrokg item in the wrong spot lol couldn't figure out why it was so cheap. Would've rather found a prebuilt for 50% off tho

It's not the same, and if you think it's the same you're just not the target audience. It's like asking why people buy sports cars when a regular sedan gets you to the same places

In most cases, it is actually the same (fuck you Steel Series, Asus and Razer). Shitty Huano/Khail/Omron switches and shitty potentiometeric wheel that will die in few months.

To be fair, 502's actually have a pretty reasonable feature set and are fairly reliable. I don't know that I'd buy the upmarket versions, since they don't really change anything quality wise, but that level of mouse for commonly as low as $40 is decent.

At least having an optical wheel encoder should be the very first thing to consider before buying any mouse.
