Video PS5 Emulation becoming viable on lower end PCs!

Using Jetsku's KytyPS5 Fork as it has some fixes in both Astro games.

Build is an RTX 5060 + Ryzen 5 5600GT (Same performance as a 5500, 6c/12t), 16GB RAM. Game is Astro's Playroom.

It's still getting around 35 fps in the main lobby, but inside the actual levels its hovering around 45-60fps! Not sure I'd call it fully playable yet, but the progress is amazing.

More gameplay and settings used, guide (english subtitled): https://youtu.be/yMw7_cGbicw

Edit: fixed link. Meant lower end when compared to most showcases of these emulators being 5090s, X3D chips and DDR5... Better wording would be "current-generation lower end".

Also, people seem to be wildly overestimating the 5600gt. Genuinely can't run any triple-A RPCS3 game at a locked 30fps.

Just because you can afford something doesn't make everything cheaper low end. This whole sub is ragebait.

Disclaimer: I play on a 1650 laptop and a steam deck.

They're right though. A 4060 at this point is considered low end. That's roughly the power the PS5 has, and to be able to emulate near-perfectly without needing the leverage of high-end (4080+) components is a huge win for everyone in the hobby. Calling something low-end isn't an insult. Trust me, I wish I could buy a 5090 right now and flaunt it, but I don't need it nor do I care about it.

ETA: And just to clarify how I see it:

5050 and 5060 are low end in the current gen.

5070 is mid tier

5080 + is high end.

Most devices decrease a tier each year. So my 1080Ti (RIP) was roughly a 2070 in performance. Then a 3060. Two generations later, my high end card is now a low end card. That's how innovations work, especially when game companies aren't doing a great job of optimization.

Am I an elitist for calling my own card low end? No. It's just a fact and a qualifier to help people that aren't well versed in PC hardware what they need to perform certain tasks. None of this is rage bait, nor is it insulting.

Your response is a clear prove that having money doesn't make you smarter.
