Video PS5 Emulation becoming viable on lower end PCs!

Using Jetsku's KytyPS5 Fork as it has some fixes in both Astro games.

Build is an RTX 5060 + Ryzen 5 5600GT (Same performance as a 5500, 6c/12t), 16GB RAM. Game is Astro's Playroom.

It's still getting around 35 fps in the main lobby, but inside the actual levels its hovering around 45-60fps! Not sure I'd call it fully playable yet, but the progress is amazing.

More gameplay and settings used, guide (english subtitled): https://youtu.be/yMw7_cGbicw

Edit: fixed link. Meant lower end when compared to most showcases of these emulators being 5090s, X3D chips and DDR5... Better wording would be "current-generation lower end".

Also, people seem to be wildly overestimating the 5600gt. Genuinely can't run any triple-A RPCS3 game at a locked 30fps.

It's typical PCMR misunderstanding of the world outside this community

Someone getting into gaming on a budget at the low end is more likely to get a used 2070

Someone really on a budget might even get a 1080, which you can get for £100 in the UK and can still handle 1080/60 in a lot of cases. That's low end, budget gaming, not a fucking 5060 lmao

That’s what I don’t get with this sub, a PC with a 5060 is already more powerful than 90% of the computers in the world. Do people in this sub really think anything below a 5070 is “garbage tier”?

This sub is pretty much a bubbles of suburban Americans who can buy a 5090 with like one months of Working at McDonald's while living with their parents. Pretty much Anywhere Else in the world you Would need to save for MONTHS to even but a 5060.

nobody working at mcdonalds unless they are in management is getting anywhere close to 5090 money unless they are literally saving every dollar from their paycheck for 4 months.

Average wage in the US at McDonalds on the high end is $38,000, or approximately $3166 a month before tax. So closer to $2700 takehome salary. The average price for a 5090 is now pushing $7500 used. So we are talking at least 3 months of being an absolute leach making $16-17 an hour.

Not to say the vibes of your statement are incorrect, but even in America the streets aren't that paved with gold.

To be clear I very much agree. I called the 5060 low end because I was fully expecting to be destroyed in the comments if I called it anything above that. That plus the fact the CPU is absolutely the bottleneck here.

Low, mid, and high are all going to have tiers within themselves.

I don't see how anyone could call a 8GB card mid tier today.
