HOW TO ENTER

About the case and MSI's MEG series:
If you're not familiar with MSI’s MEG (which stands for MSI Enthusiast Gaming) lineup, it’s essentially their flagship series, aimed at enthusiast builds and overall enjoyers of higher end options.
For the MEG MAESTRO 900R being given away here, here’s what MSI is highlighting: a centered internal layout, three-sided panoramic glass, and a detachable motherboard tray that can rotate into four different orientations. That gives builders quite a few options for how they want to assemble and display their system.
There are also some more premium finishing touches, including aluminum panels and diamond-cut detailing.
The four-way motherboard layout is probably the most interesting part from a builder’s perspective!

Why this layout: • The 900R is the centerpiece, so I built around its dual-chamber panoramic glass: the GPU is mounted vertically so the SUPRIM SOC's shroud sits on the same sightline as the case's gold trim. • Airflow: the E15 360 sits up top as exhaust while the case's bottom intakes feed the GPU directly — the 9950X3D2's heat leaves at the top instead of soaking the 5080. • The MEG X870E GODLIKE gives the 9950X3D2 all the VRM headroom it wants, plus Gen5 M.2 slots to grow into. • Everything except the RAM and SSD is MSI, so one MSI Center profile drives the fan curves and the gold-on-black lighting — that's what makes the theme look intentional rather than random.

I've always been a geek with PCs. I have to admit, I do own a PC with mid specs but it works just fine for me!
As for why I picked the parts, I find the GPU fitting well with the Case and AIO in terms of color scheme.
32Gigs od DDR5 RAM is good enough for someone who plays heavy loaded Minecraft modpacks–16 didn't feel enough... The motherboard is part of the series so why not?? SSD, I personally own a 1tb 970 EVO Plus so I want to see the difference with the 990 Pro! plus 4tb would be lovely...

Basically my current pc with a newer cpu, more ram + open slots for my eventual dream of 128GB and the msi case, cooler and a msi motherboard. Power supply is different because I couldn't find my exact PSU, but my current is also a 850w. Pretty sure I have the fans setup right in the software, but if not, my idea is intake at the top with the sides and bottom being the exhaust.

This is basically my actual PC, with the case, board and cooler swapped for MSI. I built it mostly from second-hand parts, and I grabbed the 64GB of RAM for under $150 before prices went crazy... The MEG parts are about as top of the shelf as it gets, so they were an easy pick. The Maestro’s open layout shows off the whole build, and I put the 360 radiator up top so the GPU gets clean airflow. For lighting I went with the fans cycling through colors instead of one static color, since I think static RGB gets boring fast.

went with amd cause my first build i used 5800x love it performed better than i expected and i rarely code on my gaming rig so this is more gaming focused
gpu wanted to put 9070xt but there wasnt a msi one so went with 5080

Aside from the case and the motherboard, I selected components with the goal of making the PC an all-MSI build wherever possible. For storage, I went with 4TB because, like any true gamer, I prefer having most of my games downloaded and ready to launch instantly, without wasting time on downloads or relying on a secondary SSD. As for the RAM—which was one of the priciest parts—it never hurts to have some headroom to run a couple of local AI models whenever I feel like it.

Assuming you win the case + cooler free. What a realistic "reasonable high-end" pc parts choices would be, maybe cheaper 5070ti model but I like the look of the gaming trio from MSI, considering the current sad state of the pc market. If we went back before the crazy memory prices, would have picked 32gb and fancier loooking ram and 'fancier brand' ssd choice + bigger capacity (2tb+).

Will say this i already have a pc and it is in short a AMD PC that is mid and i am proud of it since it is the first pc i ever build.
The main reason why i chose every part. The AMD cpu and GPU i chose because they are preaty good and i am happy with it's performance on the pc i have. The 32 GB of ram is for gamming and for video editing and for anything else that i might do in the future. The 4 TB os SSD storage are for game and recorded video storage. I chose all white build because I've always wanted to build one. I enjoy plain colors without rgb so I'd mostly turn off all extra lights and ad a plain white led strip inside the case to highlight the setup. AIO+extra fan are placed on top and the OEM fans will stay at bottom to create even and dust-free flow inside the case. Components were chosen from trusted manufacturers and support the purpose of the rig; 4K gaming. I would've chosen MSI 5080 gaming trio white as a gpu because other gaming trios have served me well.

Why I chose these parts:
I wanted something that would be just as comfortable handling gaming as it would software development and other stuff, without necessarily going for the most expensive components just for the sake of it.
The 9950X3D gives me the multicore performance for heavy dev stuff and of course the gaming performance of an X3D processor. The RTX 5080 goes well with it too, and the 16GB of VRAM is very nice because nowadays games devour my VRAM.
For storage, I might be biased, but I've loved every Samsung drive I've ever owned 🤷♂️. I also went with a powerful PSU to have a future proof build.
And 64GB of RAM means I can run virtual machines AND still have my thousands of browser tabs open at the same time. 🤣
As for the layout, I'd mount the GPU vertically and put the 360mm radiator at the top as the exhaust. The bottom and right-side fans would bring fresh air into the case, while the left-side fans would help push the warm air out.
Personally, I'd keep the RGB lighting subtle, mostly warm white and gold, to complement the Maestro's black and gold design rather than go crazy with it. But that's just me.

The graphics card can run all the latest games at maximum settings. The bare minimum for me is 1440p.
I use my pc for gaming and multitasking mainly so this CPU seems like a good fit.
Also for the speed and responsiveness I get from the RAM and then the SSD for a smooth system. I don't really have an argument for the cooler, looks cool and does it's job.

Literally just went with what I thought looked coolest, so this thing is absurdly expensive...but it looks cool :)
I swapped the fans from the CPU & GPU to keep the triple fan visible, the GPU fans are pretty stealth so they blend in nicely at the top.

9800x3D + 5080 is a good and reasonable combo.
The Tomahawk motherboards always get good reviews, especially from Hardware Unboxed.
64GB is plenty, with 6000mhz/cl30 being a good spot for a ryzen CPU, plus the neo kits are made with ryzen in mind.
The liquid cooler is kinda overkill for a ryzen CPU, but the fans included do mesh nicely with the case, plus it means not having to get extra fans. Also like the golden colors of the case, and I can match the colors with the RGB of the memory + cooler fans.
Storage is as good as it gets, with 4 tb being plenty.
1000w PSU with history and many reviews, good for the power draw of the build.

Pricing estimates on build sites hurt me deeply, even when you try to build something reasonable. As does the fps of the 3D view on Linux, but that might just be a config issue on my end.
