my friend remapped the key to run a powershell script that uninstalls copilot everytime the button is clicked accidentally lool

That's more elegant than my solution, which was to pop the key cap off with a butter knife.

You can use PowerToys from the Microsoft store just permanently remap the key to a different function.

I just buy mechanical keyboards - so the whole key switch can be removed, and then my keyboard has a pirate smile. Which makes me laugh, so I don't actually fix it.

Remapping would be prettier, but sometimes, I just wanna be a pirate, ya know?

Please provide an example, I can't visualise a pirate keyboard

Bummer for laptops, unless you use a USB keyboard anyway, like me

I did this to my Caps lock button lol. It's nice having an extra Shift in pinky finger range for my small-ass hands. xD

Powertoys really is the GOAT. So many useful (and mostly lightweight) tools.

Can I also do that to remap the fucking keyboard mounted power buttons?

If so, will it still turn the laptop on?

Now that I do not know. Feel like you shouldn't attempt it unless you have an external option.

I did that to my bluetooth keyboards fullscreen button because it turns off my raspberry pi 4 every time its pressed.

Never understood why but occasional the pi freezes and pressing that button auto shuts it down.

That is a very fair counter to windows update sneakily reinstalling or reenabling bloat/spyware features

You entered Settings and disabled the related switches. Followed three online tutorials. But that was two weeks ago, patch Tuesday came and went.

Now it's Thursday. Are you absolutely sure you don't have Copilot enabled?
