It's always possible to rip the ROMs. Right now they're practically impossible to find anywhere because there's no real use for them. Why would anyone bother mass ripping and uploading ROMs that can't really be used on anything except the rare jailbroken PS5?
If something like this or KytyPS5 suddenly reach a realiable, playable state, though. It's gonna be open season. They'll be all over the normal types of places one might look for pirated things. I, of course, have no idea what those places are since I would never dream of pirating anything.
I mean sure but again you're talking about an extremely tiny group of people there. Jailbreaking a PS5 is not easy, didn't have that many advantages, and up until literally just last month required finding a PS5 that hadn't been online in years because only very specific firmware versions could be jailbroken, most of them years old. This meant you usually had to find a PS5 that was broken (because why else would one be offline for YEARS), fix it, then jailbreak it.
I'd bet there were probably less than 100 people running jailbroken PS5s globally. That's probably changed since last month now that all but I believe the very latest firmware version can be jailbroken but again, not like there was huge demand for PS5 ROMs out there.
That will change almost immediately if AnyPS5 gets to the point where it can run all or even most PS5 games.
Roms for games still on shelves are no longer in that "gray area" people always talk about when they are downloading them.
I downloaded Breath of the Wild and TearsOTK while on shelves because they were also on MY shelf, and my Switch was sort of hacked, but I just didn't want to do the work.
I still have TOTK, but sold BOTW because I beat it thoroughly and don't plan to again.
