I'm already pre-coping by just assuming they will quietly stop mentioning it and then eventually pretend that a PC release was never a thing at all, like they did with the single player DLC for GTAV.
Naw.
The plan is to force a double/triple dip situation.
Release at tail end of gen. Re release for next gen and also pc.
Some ppl will either buy current console and pc later. Or current console and then next gen.
Its all counting on fomo and lack of patience for certain gamers.
GTA:O on PC is a huge market so they'd lose out in billions just to intentionally cut out PC. they always do the timed exclusive garbage to get free advertising from their "partners" and then ship the PC release once the agreement is over.
Do...do people think Sony develops GTA? Why would Take Two purposefully just not access the vast majority of their target market? For Reddit narrative?
They do care to, it's just an open secret that they know a significant amount of gamers double dip and buy the game twice on PC to use mods if they delay PC release a year.
I genuinely did buy a PS3/GTAV bundle back in the day for the sole purpose of not having to wait another year for the PC release, and I was intending to do that again this time around until I looked up what a fucking base PS5 costs these days. Crazy times we're living in.
I have a PS5 but I'm still not playing GTA6. I think I quite literally couldn't care less about it. Which I realize none of you care about, I'm just responding to the "most anticipated game of the century". Sure, for some!
We're not no. The only exploit capable of allowing us to dump games is already partially patched and will be fully patched when GTA VI releases. Let me remind you, GTA VI is a store only release and must be downloaded through the store which we cannot access on lower exploitable firmwares.
There doesn't exist a way to dump the game from a system capable of getting it.
It is hyperbolic still. If you've been following the scene you'd know that the only exploit capable of dumping games was reported to Sony and is already partially patched. By GTA VI's release it will be fully patched.
Remember, GTA VI is a store only release. You cannot get into the store with an exploitable console on release day to get a dump. You can't play something without the files to play it and we have no way to dump them from a system capable of downloading the game.
There's a reason why they wanted to keep this exploit private until GTA VI's release which someone decided to ignore. To prevent exactly this scenario from happening.
Sure it's expensive now, but for a few years you could buy hardware that would easily be stronger than a ps6 likely is in raw performance.
If you currently have good hardware, it could legitimately last you 10 years. We are at the point where the only thing holding back gaming is poor dev optimization. This is why we are now focusing on upscaling tech.

Its likely too late for the PS6 but I fully expect that playing emulated PlayStation titles on PC becomes easy, that maybe Sony switches consoles away from x86?

At this development pace we getting PS6 system on PC before PS6 official release
