Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently, we have seen massive developments in PS5 emulators (such as shadPS4 and Kyty), and how rapidly they have progressed in a short period.

Now, developers have successfully booted the actual PS5 system software on PC.

If this momentum continues in the future, it will eventually allow players to run PS5 exclusives directly on PC, marking the end of the era of console exclusivity.

What do you think coders were doing before AI, reinventing the wheel everytime?

Yeah, by copying stack overflow code from 10 years ago?

I must have been doing it wrong because when I was programming before AI I was using stackoverflow and other online resources all the time. I even referred to textbooks. I pretty much never just programmed stuff without referencing anything else.

I don't understand your comment but you probably misunderstood mine, coders have always "stolen" code lol, what even is stealing, if I manage to make a better function / framework that does something that could potentially have different applications than the one I designed it for, why the fuck would I want to keep it for me and have everyone else have to rediscover a way to do such a thing when can I just share it with everyone and have everyone improve?

If everyone did things like this, everyone would also benefit and be better, and so would I as I'm benefitting from those who thought the same way, that's the coding space

Open source is not just there so you can see how prettier my code is than others' and seethe, it's there so you can steal it lol

ai tools for art are just another brush in a set, and can absolutely become a part of a human made work of art.
