Nah, I’m just gonna stick to older games plus backlogs lmao

Bold of you to assume they wouldn't rapidly "remaster" them and take the old ones off the shelves/stores (Though pirates would probably preserve the "inferior" versions that don't have payment options lol)

Good thing emulation is easily accessible on a wide range of platforms and due to the nature of the internet is also hard to shut down in any meaningful way

Might as well get into recomps now, as limited as they are right

They come to my house and delete files from my drives? I mean they would if they could ...

There won't be anything on our hard drive here in 20 years. Companies will be pushing the game streaming option very hard.

Sure there is, the last 20 years of excellent games

That's illegal.

Edit: Are people are okay with companies coming to house and destroy your property?

Bold of you to think they wouldn't revoke licenses and force people to pay again.

I really hate that they did that to plants vs zombies, they went back and made the original game a WAAAAY worse version and included microtransactions. Shit is absolutely absurd.

And you think whatever is online is yours and will never ever be changed huh. Ah the naivité of some people.

  • Console gaming will be even deader. That's it.

All hail our lord and savior Gaben

Lesser evil type shit

Lesser evil is still less evil

You can't pirate when you have no computing hardware and no storage.

8

u/Ultimate_Sigma_Boy67 18d ago

I'll pirate that too

u/jdehjdeh 18d ago

This is the way.

If the world wants to price the consumer out of consuming, they will start taking it for themselves free of charge.

2

u/Clessiah 18d ago

Who knows. Some arcade games absolutely slapped.

u/GrynaiTaip 18d ago

There are a lot of gamers who will pay and they don't care about it. Look how many games have microtransactions, or how many are pay to win. Then there are games like Fifa 2026, Fifa 2025, Fifa 2024, they're all the same game with a few names changed, yet they still sell millions of copies.

u/Kristkind 18d ago

Pirating no good when games depend on proprietary server.

Why even pirate those garbage games. Just let it rot.

Piracy is the past present and future like quantum entanglement. It is inevitable

There are already enough games for me to play until I am dead...

I don't know man, mobile gaming feels that way to me (pay to do anything / skip ads) and it's a growing market (i think, im too lazy to look up the stats).

u/spaceguydudeman 18d ago

Ah yes, piracy will be rampant because gaming is dead?
