How long has the Bachelor been 28?
I was painting over the screenshot in Procreate just to imagine how Daniil might actually look at his supposed fine age of 28.
I really love his model, his little smirks are done incredibly well, but I genuinely cannot comprehend how these sweet cheeks aged like 20 years between P1 and P2-3 (the irony is not lost on me).
Maybe it’s a running gag in IPL’s headquarters at this point, but seriously, why did they make him look so* *much older? Just so that the children of the Town could make fun of him for leaving ‘old dust’ all over the place?

well he's a guy who takes a lot of drugs (probably has done so for years), is a workaholic and probably hasn't let himself had a proper rest for years. also some people just get wrinkles early

This is a Russian man born in, like, late 1880s, who hikes the steppe for days on end, and with something of an implied wild side earlier. The only reason he doesn't look older is that half of the genotoxins he's been marinated in for the better part of three decades are fighting a civil war against the other half on to which ones get to age him first.

The pantomimes you get outside Stillwater during daily debriefs explain this. Most of them are about how Daniil works himself ragged, skips self-care, stresses out about everything, and just generally treats himself like he's going to die after day 12 regardless.

I suppose sometimes people do just look older than they are… I work with a woman who I could have sworn was in her late 30s/early 40s but I found out she’s 29.

My headcanon is that Daniil is over 30 in P2&3😭 probably around 32-33
I love how they de-aged Artemy while making Daniil look much older than in P1

Have you ever seen a Northern or Eastern European in real life? We live in harsh climates so we usually get a pretty rugged look. I think his appearance on the left makes perfect sense for a Russian guy in the 1920s or whenever the game is supposed to take place(clearly in the 1920s/30s most likely)

I am one:) And having seen the photos of my great-great-grandparents, people were not quite as rugged. Especially people of intellectual labour. Though, everyone ages differently and in Daniil’s case his skin texture is apparently lore.

actually he was 28 even in patho Classic, there used to be a website that listed these things and even back then he was listed at 28
tho you do need to understand that the dude is clearly under so much stress I wouldn't be surprised if it aged him quite a lot

In my mind it’s the past, so not only is there a lack of skin care but Daniil has also in a stressful position for a while. That man has gotten a few early creases in my mind
