Hissin' Pete is one of the very first spirits we're introduced to, (and technically the first one shown, albeit hidden in the background) and yet I don't think I've ever heard him being discussed in the fandom seriously. It occurred to me that if Cryptide had cut him, there is a very solid candidate of who his other half would be.

I put together a little infographic so I could see where everything is in relation to each other. There are a few small assumptions built in, but everything is fairly defensible. Hope you enjoy.

If you too enjoy putting in a totally normal amount of effort to scrutinize every corner of your favorite webcomic, come hang out in the discord with us!

Which Paranatural character is not smart enough to understand prime numbers?

Hint: Yes, I did mean smart.

Whoever gets it correct first, please feel free to ask the next question.

At this point, anybody can ask any trivia question.

Illustrated the collective delusion of a few folks (myself included) in the discord. Once we started making milk saucer flying saucer comparisons we were off to the races.

No pnat this week, so why not come join us while you wait?

Nobody asked, but I submit to you that Aimee Archer's best friend's full name is:

Beau Narreau

I litterally just looked up and saw how glazed this boy looks, it's incredible. I love it.

Come hang out in the discord, and you too can experience dumb nonsense like this

I kinda doubt it since June was already ominous about being careful with promises, hinting at some sort of awareness about Pacts, but still, kinda wild the first spirit we see is a whisp.

Shortly followed by fan favorite and annual winner of Best Character, Hissin' Pete of course.

EDIT: Zachary confirmed this is Lefty. I guess the lighting makes him a bit blobby?

Chapter 9 introduces us to some weird theme shifts.

There are way more teen romances going on. Isaac's crush got unLEASHed. Johnny's catching sparks. Alex and Stephen new OTP. Lisa going full seductress. Pompom and Bea are at Rose Baxter levels of horny. Isabelle is even starting to reciprocate Suzy. And we delve into teenie Mina's high school lesbianism.

But what's more notable is the lid on innuendo has been blasted off.

Valerie Day is making BDSM jokes. Mina Zarei is caught ogling Rose Baxter. June Summers is openly acknowledged as a sexual force, including by herself. Devi talks about Posy's "lovely bust".

Wow that's three salutes to big naturals this chapter.

We could say Zach's style is shifting, but that's boring, so I'm going with Watsonian horny magic.

My theory is Mayview was born from a naive innocent wish, or as we say, hatched from a white picket fence egg, and it's now returning to Original Sin. Bayview and Clayview aren't particularly horny, Mayview was just weirdly PG.

So the general consensus seems to be that DuNacht is not Fauxbia, and that it's just Zach working to mislead the audience, but I wanted to know what concrete evidence there is to confirm this? I have been reading for a while so there might be older stuff I've missed, but anything specific or pages you guys could refer to would be appreciated!
