Phoenix walked to a “Select” award today.
She walked against one Grand Champion, one Grand Champion Gold and a seeming newcomer who appeared out of nowhere - who had won the previous class round.

Well, hold on there - I did some checking when we got back “home” and discovered that the “unknown” was actually a multi-national champion flown in from Belgium. You see, AKC doesn’t recognize champion credentials from other countries - when they come over here to compete they have to start at ground zero and earn their points here on US soil.

So, our Phoenix was junior pup in the ring but nobody told her and she still walked out with a “Select” ribbon and another point towards her Grand Championship.

Now we do this again tomorrow…..

I have a 5 month old boy and he’s the sweetest but the potty training outside has been difficult. He goes outside but he has at least once accident a day in the house.

He does sleep in a crate at night and is able to hold it all night without making a peep. If anyone has any suggestions or advice that would be great! Also how long did it take for your papillons to be house trained?

I haven't been able to catch it on video till now. Buddy will push his butt for scratches and make these funky noises. He stopped when he saw I was recording lol.

Another - What's on Romeo's nose series?! 😂 I'll tell you - a garlic peel that obviously flew off the counter and we didn't know! 🤣 Bonus - his tongue ❤️ and he DID NOT eat the garlic because it didn't fall off the counter - the peel did and it just stuck to his nose 😱

A little blurry - but I was on the second floor, looking down to the first and saw she was on the new soft bed I got her this weekend to celebrate her three “Best of Breeds” in a row.

He's been home for 16 days, we had little rough patch his first week home because of kennel cough, but he got some antibiotics and is feeling significantly better! He's a sweet energetic little boy and has so much personality!

I was trying to take a cute picture of these two when the large tree behind me made a very loud, very ominous creaking noise.

All three have specific days they are way more needy than others. Last night and this morning was Buddy's turn. Rubbing his head all over my face, laying on me, and so on. Sometimes Ali does this in her own way, and same for Rodger occasionally.

Just wondering if this is a pap thing, or if I just happened to get three weirdos. Lol. Anyone else's pap just have days they are extra affectionate?

I am thinking about changing my little girl's kibble. She currently eats Royal Canin X-Small Breed, but she doesn't love it. We really need something with tiny kibbles because she is only 4 lbs (1.8kg)!

Please don't suggest we feed raw. She came to us raw fed and was not eating enough to grow or gain any weight. We switched her to kibble in an attempt to put weight on her, and she loved it. She only wants to eat kibbles and turns her nose up at meat. I can't explain it. She's a strange girl, she fits right into our family 😂

Edit: Mina is nearly 2 now - she is an adult and will not get any bigger. She's just a bitsy girly!

So did their half-sister Cara. We had six paps for the week, which complicated sleeping and feeding arrangements a good bit.

How are Papillons with birds (always under supervision)? We have two rescue parrots and our last dog, who sadly passed away from Lymphoma last year, was amazing and generally disinterested. Anyone with any experience here?
