Discussion I earned my quiver on my main by learning the full list of pillar solves. Then on my 30 def account, I simplified colo by running to the southern pillar and corner trapping to isolate 1v1s to make it incredibly free

For years the OSRSwiki described running to another pillar as a "scrub strategy based on luck which is likely to make difficult stacks and get you killed". When in fact its the easiest no damage solve you can do.
So its not usually a good idea to run south before reinforcements show up. I haven't really found a way to make double south spawns any easier. But if you get a mage first then minotaur reinforcement, you can run south and the mino will be trapped behind the northern pillar unable to heal anything while all the other mobs go south with you.
I'll show you the wikis infographic for pillar solves and then make a table explaining what happens when you run south for each of them. Though if you ever see a mob trapped far away behind the northeast pillar, you can run south and it will get to you first so you can 1v1 it, and then very likely set up 1v1s for the rest of the spawns. You can read the newest infographics added to the wiki for a guide on how to run south. You set up the typical prayer flicks for a pillar solve but you often don't have to flick at all on your way south, or at most flick between two mobs. This is because the manticores on the east side of the pillar are never charged if you do the proper wave start strategy.

| Stack name | The South Solution |
|---|---|
| 2 Line Stack | No reason to run south as you can easily deal with them with prayer flicks, or simply corner trapping the mob closest to you to 1v1 the farther away one |
| 3 Line stack | Very easy to no damage run south as you can either leave pray range on or, if there's a shocker and a ranger, to do two prayer flicks on your way south. Then you can either 1v1 the farthest east mob, or the farthest west mob. You don't have to learn the complicated Z stack anymore. |
| Triangle Stack | Still super easy to solve. You don't have to worry about whether the manticore will charge the same style as another mob because you can often 1v1 them south. The greyed out northern enemy of the T stack literally can't attack you while you're running south. If the two T-stacked enemies are different styles you can just start in the middle of the southern pillar and run west two tiles to offtick them. |
The wiki has like 5 complicated Z solves depending on the order of monsters in the different stacks, for the different line and triangles depending on which mobs you get. But you don't have to learn any of those. There's two simple ways to isolate 1v1s while south of the southern pillar. You either stand at the southeastern corner to isolate a 1v1 vs the farthest eastern mob by corner trapping the middle one, or you can wrap around the western corner to 1v1 the western one.
It really makes the Colosseum free. You can't screw up prayer flicks because the only thing you're flicking is your rigour or deadeye, which also saves so much prayer that blasphemy 3 isn't even a problem for a low prayer account. The only things to really take your run out are double south spawns (which if you're only worried about your first quiver you can just take that death as the cost of doing business), panicing on Sol, or getting a triple bad invocation. But I've even made it to Sol with level 3 mantimayhem because this method just makes that not nearly as big of a problem. So there's less bad invocations to worry about. If you haven't gotten your quiver yet, just go to the wiki and use the infographics to get started. You'll have your quiver in no time.

Help & Questions What to do with crystal keys?
I’ve been saving crystal keys from shark contracts. Is it better to use them now or to save them until i can enhance them? I have not completed song of the elves yet. It’s not an Ironman account.

Achievements After doing so much cg, I've reached insanity
746 kc. Let that number sink in. Assuming that each run takes 10 minutes, I've spent 124 hours and 20 minutes in this god forbid prison. No enhanced yet, but have seen multiple ppl spooning not once but 2 enhanced before their 400kc. At what point will this suffering end? Am i going to deiron? Maybe I should just deiron.

Help & Questions First Time Member Tips
What’s the first thing you should do after purchasing membership?
Attached is a picture of my current stats. I’ve also completed all f2p quests.
I was planning on buying member items/gear from the GE and then start working on member quests. Other than buying the best gear for my levels (excluding magic since it’s probably too expensive), are there any teleport items or other useful things I should buy before doing quests?
I have 1 bond currently and roughly 30m from training magic to 99. I was also considering buying 2 more bonds for the free extra days (redeem 3 total) and that would leave me with ~7m to buy items.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Discussion Still ok to start?
I have been wondering to start again rs, i have played only rs3, couple of 99 and 20 year cape, thats it. Im very casual player and never into bosses or anything really hard, once tried to get fire cape but died once against a boss and stopped there. I just logged in to osrs and im surprised there was already some noob pure account. Nevermind, i need some goals to level up and i was thinking to start completing quests storyline order, any1 here done that, any sense?
Also thinking to start reignite when released but starting all over when i already have a old shit veteran account feels annoying.
There is my stats atm and bank was 500k-1m, there was two green partyhats also and i was like what the hell but seems they are worthless in osrs, never played and havent been into rs in many many years.

Help & Questions Returning player - several forestry questions
Not so much about the mechanics but more like whats the meta here now?
Do any forestry bonuses apply in the wc guild? Do people mainly just care to use the felling axes and train normally, or do we go to the forestry worlds and do the whole thing? If im really only concerned with training the skill, is forestry worth it?
Good time to pause and say I am not about to tick manipulate anything here. Im the kind of guy who would much rather sit with a 30k/hr xp rate and be fully afk over a 150k/hr xp rate with tick manipulation. To each their own, but thats me.
Do people tend to make their own rations or buy them on the GE? If I intend to just buy the felling axe/handle, do I care about the rewards/anima bark anymore? Kind of the same thing, but once I have the dragon felling axe is it worth it to go to forestry worlds/spots or can I go back home to the WC guild?
Ty for any/all advice on how to go about woodcutting casually now that forestry is a thing

Help & Questions Is Wintertodt Worth It?
Hey all, I'm going to start a YouTube series soon and usually when I start an ironman I tend to do Wintertodt for starting supplies such as gems, herbs, ores, logs and raw food. As well as fletching and construction levels. However, the thought of doing Wintertodt now just fills me with dread and I'm debating whether to do it or not.
Should I just toughen up and do it? Or are there alternatives for starting supplies?
