My role as a moderator has effectively become an AI differentiation tool.
It isn’t cool.
I’m happy to start a new sub that’s asking “is this AI music?” But that’s not the mission statement here.
People make good original music. Great original music. Don’t overshadow the creativity of the people in this community with AI BS. It’s only becoming more common and it’s starting to become properly difficult to differentiate between real creativity and BS.
I hate that.
Live recordings of your songs? You’re set. I’ll approve it.
AI images on YouTube of your songs? I’m likely to assume you are fake.
Please. This isn’t an AI debate in general, it is a specific debate about original music.
Please be respectful.

Hi everyone. I’m a composer from Ukraine.
Today I released my new cinematic post-rock track "Liminality". Honestly, sometimes I get overwhelmed by this heavy feeling that my music is invisible and nobody actually cares. 💔
I just wanted to share this piece of my soul with people who might understand.
Since Reddit deletes my links, you can find it by searching "Ira Zhurakovska - Liminality" on Spotify, or I can drop the link in the comments.
Thank you so much just for reading this. 🙏

I Wrote and recorded this at home in 1991. "Fire In The Rain" was featured on "Chicago Songwriter's Showcase" radio show 92.7 FM from 1992-1995. Several of my songs were featured on the show. I eventually became a regular on-air personality talking about self producing music.
I feel this song is still relevant to the timeless pulse of trading time for money. "Working all the the day and night we don't gotta no time for things we like."

Hi I’m 17, and I have a new song that I think can bring a new genre, reggaeton, to my island. It would be a first for the island if this ever went mainstream, and id love for you guys to check it out, I also made a rough demo for a music video on this too!
