Mod Announcement Trans men are welcome here (MOD ANNOUNCEMENT)

Trans men are welcome here. (MOD ANNOUNCEMENT)

We've become aware of a situation rising in r/trans - it's messy, unprofessional, and injust. If you want to read an overview https://www.reddit.com/r/AnarchyChess/s/aSbapz4mMe has made a post here. (TW)

Trans men have been and always will be welcome in our subreddit. If someone is giving you a tough time, point them our way. Our team has folks with open DMs: - u/tisquares - u/jumpyjumpjumpsters (I myself am transmasc) - u/Apprehensive_Row8407 If you ever have criticism for us, ModMail and those DMs are always ready to receive it.

As always bigotry will result in an instant ban. Do not harass other users of this site, including off-platform.

When I hear about shit like this it always reminds me of feds being undercover in the Civil rights movement, actively encouraging acts of violence, or right wing content creators infiltrating lgbt events.

While it's true that there are always assholes in every large group of people, there are also always plants in any anti-establishmentarian movement. You can usually spot them by the way they use language, and by their portrayal of obvious stereotypes. They tend to misunderstand the motivations behind the beliefs and actions they claim to support, and even when they say the right things, they say them in suspiciously familiar, obviously provocative ways, using the sort of conspiracy coded language that you normally only hear from people who oppose what you're doing.

because that's where they learned everything they know about the people they're impersonating.

People who do this sort of thing do it precisely because they don't understand the people and issues they're pretending to care about.

I suppose you'll have to find new people to trust and care for.

But on the bright side, there are 8 billion of us, and most of have friend shaped holes inside, much like yours, that could use some filling.

That is definitely one way to deal with feelings of loss and isolation lol
