My bet is there was a bunch of bad graffiti and the coverup was more important than finding masking tape

Painters tape is sooo easy to use. It would have taken like 20 seconds more

Guarentee you that was a store manager that went and bought the cheapest paint possible and a brush and handed it to some kid working part time for 12 bucks an hour. Painters tape was probably never in the equation lol

There's no brush marks though, it was rolled lol

The edge of the roller touched the wall and the exhaust. Looks like they hit it on the left, did an "oh shit," turned it sideways and proceeded to still touch the exhaust
