Can we talk about how RuneScape prepared us for real life? Getting scammed at 12 years old, learning not to be naive, having to put in the work to see your skills benefit you in the long run. I’m now 31 years old and I can’t shake this feeling of the joy and constant curiosity for the world and people that i experienced through RuneScape.

It occurred to me that we could improve this potion,This improved version grants a fixed +6 Magic boost regardless of your Magic level, compared to the +3 boost of the original version.

The downside—just like the previous version—is that this potion is untradeable; you have to craft it from scratch.

Preparation: Requires 1 standard Magic Essence (any quantity), an Ardrigal herb, and diamond or sapphire dust (a new secondary ingredient); crafting it requires Herblore level 63 and completion of the quest Fairytale III - Nexus of Powe.

It is recommended to have already obtained the Alchemist's amulet before starting the process.

diamond dust can be obtained using a pestle and mortar.

This potion is intended for Ironmen and serves as an alternative to the Ancient Brew; while the Ancient Brew is tradeable, it has negative side effects, whereas the Super Magic Essence is untradeable but grants a +6 boost at any Magic level and is tied to this quest.

We could even add Caviar to the recipe, though I'll leave that up to you.

I even considered making it so that if your Magic level is reduced, this version restores it completely and—to top it off—grants a +6 boost to Magic.

Now that this mission—*Fairy Tale III: A Nexus of Power*—is finally drawing to a close, this is an opportunity to make use of a potion that has been largely left behind and forgotten; it could serve as an additional unlock that wouldn't really change much if we were to implement this improvement.

I feel like I'm missing something with this Skill. What the hell am I actually doing? I get the, "ha-ha watch number go up cause we all have autism" but normally there's some kinda end goal in mind. I'll swing a pick at a fuckin rock for 6 days straight if it gets me the Ore that I need for Gaint's Foundry. Or maybe I'm doing MLM for the Coal Bag. Or I'll do Totems or chop Trees or any other thing in the game as long as I feel like I'm achieving resources or equipment.

But what the fuck am I doing while Hunting? I just chased Butterflies for half an hour to simply release them so I could catch more Butterflies. I caught a couple weasels, but the fur they dropped is only used for the Jungle Camo stuff and that Outfit is more or less worthless. The fur itself isn't valuable enough to save and make bank runs. So the shitty meat I got along with the fur just gets dropped.

I'm not exactly mad or anything, but I've nvr touched the Skill before today and I don't have a single goal in mind. There's nothing this Skill seems to offer me in the way of profit or cool equipment or anything other than raising the Skill for certain Quests that may require it. The Wiki shows a little bit of profit once I reach lvl 73 for Black Chinchompas.

Just an FYI as well, I'm not trying to bitch or rant. I really want somebody to tell me that I missed the golden apple and direct me to it if it exists.

So I tried the fight caves got to wave 53 I know but I ran out of Sammy brews I wanna try again but other wise with my stats what do you guys suggest returning vet.

After playing for 14 years, really enjoyed runefest.

The good:

J Mods were really friendly,

Venue was good and atmosphere was awesome

Good at getting tickets sorted and process was EZ.

VIP was a good experience, with the extra goodies and the access to J Mods so much better ;)

Meh:

VIP Food was not all it should have been, expected a bit better if honest.

Some players were a bit OTT.

The ego of some of the streamers was unreal (i won't name drop them) but saying hello when walking past in return isn't a big ask, not asking for a chat or anything.

Was pretty interested to hear about the plans with DMM from some of the J mods and where rewards are going, I guess weapon scrolls will be going through the roof shortly when its announced.

So, there's tons of posts about RS3, Reignited, and the overall tone of that game and what the hell they're actually doing with it.

OSRS is in the really weird space in that we've already been here. We had stuff taken from us, EOC made us walk away, treasure hunter etc. If you played classic or rs2 then made the jump to OSRS we accepted this exact thing. RS3 in our eyes died, and so we had to restart all over again, level 3 accounts. So, we're on the other end of this.

When OSRS itself launched it was more thought to be a temp thing, but a lot of people already effectively had gone through the grief of quitting to come back. Some never came back, a lot of people here never did play the old game.

So while personally I do think reignited is a mixed bag and will have positives and negatives, I think the veteran players can all take a sec and remember this feeling of 'my game is dying'. I went through it with Destiny 2. So some empathy for rs3 players is worth it I think. Is this the actual death of rs3? No clue. But I don't blame people for being upset anyways. They're just starting a process a lot of us already went through.

If you've got stories about quitting and restarting maybe that'll help? Or maybe you are someone who didn't enjoy the restart from rs3 in osrs. Talk about it, we have the actual experience of a very very similar thing and can use that.
