Last night, I had the pleasure of seeing the new documentary about the Felice Brothers. Conor, ever the alchemist of language, finds words for his affection and admiration for the band that feel both achingly intimate and somehow universal. There are also snippets of new music he’s recorded with James, a suggestion of more beauty to come.
Some asshole (me) also took the opportunity to investigate the lore surrounding James allegedly slipping Conor a demo during an ambulance ride. For the record, it didn’t go down like that but i wouldn’t have judged them if it did, the music is that good.
