Excess eating noises.

I work with a guy who is a mouth breather. I don't know if he has nasal or sinus problems but he's constantly sniffing (loudly), he eats noisily and he actually slurps his drinks and soup. Plus, he occasionally drinks from his water bottle and swills it round his mouth. There are 3 of us in a small office and I genuinely think he just forgets he's in the company of others or doesn't realise how loud he actually is. There's no where else we can really go to eat our lunch either, so it's hard to avoid.

On Reddit, it's people asking silly questions - a combination of a lack of common sense and that recent trend of desperately needing validation from the people you don't know.
In real life, people who stand still in shop doorways, supermarket aisles etc with absolutely zero awareness of other people.

Agreed, some things are common knowledge or common sense which some people lack severely

u/TheGirlintheTower 14h ago
And people who just can't or won't use their own judgement and have to come on here to ask the most basic question. How do these people manage to exist each day?

People not signalling off roundabouts. Particularly annoying if they've been signalling around the roundabout

Which is about 1% of what you see out there. Another example of people ruining it for the people who really need it.

My biggest pet peeve at the moment is when you make a post about your pet peeve and people feel the need to criticize and ridicule you for having that pet peeve.

People in my family don’t load the dishwasher the way I like it done. I don’t say anything because it really makes no difference. I guess I have a charmed life if this is my main peeve.

Lack of communication
Instead of coordinating with the other person as to whether or not you’ll be joining them or attending the event, you make them “take the hint” when plans have changed or you already have something else going on.

Assuming the burden of reaching out first falls on the person who has been rejected daily and in as many ways as humanely possible including insults about their looks and lost attraction.

People who use the sink and when they’re done it looks like it rained in the kitchen/bathroom. Like, WTF!?!?! Why is it so difficult to keep the water in the sink? I don’t understand why people are such pigs.
1
u/Temporary-Cup-7301 16h ago
My dad does that and it drives me nuts! Especially when they flick the water on their hands everywhere!!
1
u/LaRanaGrande 16h ago
Like seriously! The sink is RIGHT THERE! Maybe it would make sense, bear with me, to flick the water in the sink….? Just a thought.

u/ImaginationMajor2281 16h ago
Besides the very important stuff like not treating others with respect I would say when people use all of something in the house like paper towels, butter, computer paper, water in the coffee machine and do not replenish it for the next person to use it.

When people say 7am in the morning,
9am in the morning. If you say am we know you mean the morning!!!!

People who have zero self awareness or common decency. Why are you stopping in the middle of the sidewalk with 30 people behind you? Why are you blocking the entire aisle while you’re looking at pasta sauce? Why are you camping in the passing lane when you’ve been passed 4 times on the right hand side?

People who call everyone they don’t like a narcissist. Narcissism is a personality disorder, it would be like if you called everyone who struggles a little bit socially autistic. It’s ableist.

Being the person who is always late. It’s not a personality trait, it’s a bad behavior. Nothing pisses me off more than waiting for someone after we agreed on a meeting time. It comes off like their time is more valuable than mine. And I hate when people blame it on ADHD. Set a timer. Whether it needs to be 5 minutes before you need to leave, 10 minutes, or an hour. There’s no excuse to constantly be late to everything.
