People understand what you’re saying, they just disagree with it. You may be right here, but instead of just accepting that two people can have separate ideas of which thing is more likely you act as if you are definitively correct and if people understood what you are saying they would agree with you.
We don’t know what this scenario is. You think there is a greater chance that the bird was taught to do specifically this video. Other people think there is a greater chance the bird was taught to play tic tac toe. That’s it.
Go look at the immediate responses. It was telling me that they're intelligent, which I never argued. They projected onto me. They assumed I didn't know. That's on them. I was pointing out Occam's Razor and people didn't like that so they put words in my mouth. But I'm the dick, sure.
Also, nobody said they believed the bird understanding the full mechanics was more likely. So, they agreed with me, yet still argued with a point I never claimed. Baffling.

I'm about to join you in the downvote box, but it is absolutely more likely that an intelligent animal was taught a trick than an intelligent animal understands a game of logic. Both are possible, one is more likely. But stating this upsets people who are here to marvel at the nextfuckinglevel intelligence of the wonderful crows. I love crows too, I have trained a local crow to come when I call and find treats hidden in nooks and crannies in my tree. It's magical. I love to believe this video shows a crow that understands a human game of logic. But I understand what is more likely without getting upset.
I appreciate you. This is all I was pointing out. Crows are incredibly intelligent, but yeah, it should be understood it's more likely this crow was taught a step-by-step trick (which requires intelligence to learn and execute) than it understanding the rules, strategy, and win conditions of a dynamic game.
If it were a matching game, I'd be more inclined to believe it understood, but tic tac toe has dynamic inputs, you need to understand your opponent's moves and your own. Children in elementary school can struggle with that concept.
